It might still be summer break, but our 2026-2027 officer team is putting in the work to prepare for the school year! We loaded up the trucks bright and early yesterday and had a great day taking officer photos, learning about social media presence and “creating your brand”, and ended the day with some team building time at Activate!

We can’t wait to share what this team has planned for Aubrey FFA this year!

FFA members had a great week at the 98th annual Texas FFA State Convention in Fort Worth!
Highlights include:
✨Aubrey FFA was proudly represented by 9 voting delegates this year.
✨Angel B, Brandi T, Brandan W, and Evan W participated in the Teach Agriculture pilot competition.
✨Ashlynn N, Brandan W, Alyssa W and Elliott W participated in the Quiz Bowl competition.
✨Jenna W and Naomi W got the chance to meet and learn from their favorite Texas FFA State Officer!
✨Kensie B, Tess G, Sam M, Michael M, Ashlynn N, Alyssa W, Jenna W, and Elliot W participated in Texas FFA day of service and helped pack backpacks for students in need.
✨Addi A, Angel B, Peyton F, Ashlynn N, Kiera S, Ariana W and Elliott W received their State FFA Lonestar Degree.

In addition to these highlights, our members had a busy week with a variety of activities such as leadership workshops, team building activities, general sessions, watching the rodeo finals, Neon fun night, and more! We are looking forward to a great school year, and can’t wait to see what these talented students accomplish this next year!

Congratulations to our 7 students who received their Lonestar Degree at Texas FFA State Convention today! We are so proud of you!

My name is Heather Hough, and as an Aubrey High School alum, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to return home as an agricultural science teacher. Growing up, I raised and showed both breeding and market sheep and was actively involved in FFA, experiences that helped shape my passion for agriculture and agricultural education.

I graduated from Tarleton State University in 2025 with a degree in Animal Science. During my time there, I gained hands-on experience working with cattle, swine, sheep, and goats, and I spent a summer interning on a cattle station in Queensland, Australia.

I am excited to build relationships with students and families while helping them discover opportunities to grow through agricultural education and FFA.

My name is Ashley Dodson, this will be my 5th year of teaching Ag Science and I am so excited to join the Aubrey team! I grew up in Frisco and participated in various LDE events and was on the state qualifying horse judging team. I also served on the officer team and showed rabbits throughout high school. I then attended Tarleton State for agriculture education with a minor in animal science, as well as an equine certificate. In my spare time I enjoy riding my 2 horses and competing in hunter/jumper shows with them, spending time with my 2 dogs and my husband, Jake. My favorite part about teaching is helping students discover their passion for agriculture and all of the opportunities available to them, and I look forward to meeting all of the Aubrey FFA families and having a great year together!

Aubrey FFA Ag Camp: Ag Around the World

This week we explored plant science, animal science, food science, ag mechanics, leadership and team-building!

Great job to our K-5 campers for jumping right in to the world of agriculture and to our high school helpers who made it all happen. This type of service-learning project is what Aubrey FFA is all about!
