We hope everyone is having a great summer, but goodness we’re missing these moments. ❤️

Today we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom.

At The Homestead Academy, we are deeply grateful for the courage, sacrifice, and legacy of those who served our nation with honor.

May we never take that sacrifice lightly.

Wishing all of our THA families a meaningful and restful Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

Soon we’ll laugh and say, “Y’all remember when we could all fit in two classes in the church foyer?” 😂

Next school year brings lots of new. New schoolhouse, new families, new students, two new classrooms, and new teachers, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead.

But more than anything, we want to honor these two incredible women and our amazing team that helped establish the heart and culture of the 2025–2026 school year.

They’ve given their time, energy, love, and hearts to make sure every single student knows they are deeply loved by the Father, not identified by grades or performance, and fully capable of doing big things.

So grateful for what we’re building together.

Teacher appreciation feels far too small for what these two carry every single day.

Ms. Scott and Ms. Rae are truly incredible. They go above and beyond for their students, not just academically, but in the way they love, see, encourage, and pour into them daily. More than anything, they care deeply about the heart health of our students and establishing beloved identity in the culture of our school.

This year was so much more than lesson plans and schedules. It was about building culture, creating safety, joy, belonging, and helping our students know who they are. We are beyond blessed to have these two helping shape that environment every single day.

They love big, laugh big, serve endlessly, and are absolute gems to our Homestead family.

We love you both and honor you deeply. 🤍

FIELD DAY ‘26 WAS TOO MUCH FUN 🤩

Friday night Ms. Scott’s class enjoyed a night around the fire pit enjoying s’mores, perfect weather, and time connecting with our amazing families.

Beloved education is about so much more than book knowledge; it’s about developing a strong sense of identity, community, and belonging.

Career Month has been a blast so far!

Our students have heard from firefighters, police and SWAT team supervisor. We’ve had dog groomers, cyber security professionals, photographers and videographers, childcare directors, and physical therapists all come in and share what they do.

It’s been such a fun, engaging way for parents and our community to step into the classroom, and for our students to get a real glimpse of the incredible opportunities that could be ahead of them.

Big thank you to everyone who’s taken the time to pour into these kids.

This block in Ms. Rae’s class, Pastor Matt is teaching BLS and CPR, and the students are gaining real, life-saving skills.

Today they worked with CPR dummies, practiced with AED trainers, and learned about airway management. They’ll continue with infant CPR and choking response as they finish out the semester and earn their CPR certification cards.

This is real health and science—skills that actually save lives.
