We’re finding the sweet spot 🙌

Last week was special around here and we can’t wait to see what this one brings.

We’ll see you tomorrow morning, THA!

Our teachers took more than 60 photos and videos this week—science experiments, art projects, reading, writing, math, PE, learning, growing and a whole lot of laughing. It was a wonderful week around campus.

But as amazing as all of that is, hearing our students—from our youngest to oldest—declare their memory verse from 1 John stood out the most.

Our kids are so much more than test scores, academics or sports. They’re made in the image of a God who is pure light, with no trace of darkness.

What a gift to create a place where kids are being inundated every day with the love and goodness of God.

We’re excited to partner with Jamal Umer and Dreams Music Academy to bring music and music theory to our students, K-12, each week!

This week: percussion and scales! We love seeing our students learn, create, and discover new gifts.

Week 2 at The Homestead Academy!

This week felt like we really started finding our rhythm.

We began building into curriculum, assessing where each student is starting the year, and getting a clearer picture of how we can challenge, support, and grow each one well.

There was plenty of learning, BIBLE, PE flag tag, lots of laughs, ice cream sandwiches, and all the little moments that are already making this year special.

And yes… we are READY for that new building. We are SO close, and we cannot wait to get our students into their new classrooms!

But even in the temporary, we’re loving the start to this year. There’s a lot to be excited about at THA!

THA is looking for substitute teachers!

As our Academy continues to grow, we’re building a great team of dependable substitute teachers who can step in and serve our students and staff when needed.

If you love kids, value education, and would be interested in joining us as a substitute teacher, we’d love to hear from you!

Apply today and come be part of what we’re building at The Homestead Academy.

WEEK ONE. 🤍

Our first week was all about connection, relationships, and family. There is plenty of time for academics—and we’re excited to get there—but we believe kids learn best when they feel known, connected, and at home.

Our kids and teachers were AMAZING. Between our temporary setup and the ridiculous Texas heat, everyone adapted with so much flexibility and joy.

We kicked off with our traditional first-day snow cones, made new friends, laughed a lot, and started building something really special.

Too many pictures to ever post them all, but here’s a little glimpse of week one.

What a great group of kids. It’s going to be a phenomenal year!

Our beloved Ms. Rae had the honor of singing the National Anthem last night at the Frisco RoughRiders game—and absolutely crushed it!

We couldn’t be more proud of her. There’s something really special about getting to watch the people in our Homestead + THA family step into the things they’re gifted to do and SHINE.

Way to go, Ms. Rae! You made your THA family proud.
