Today was all about learning, growing, and preparing for an amazing school year ahead!

We had the privilege of welcoming Dr. Gulzar Babool, Co-Director of Shelton Outreach & Teacher Training at the Shelton School & Evaluation Center, for a meaningful professional development session with our teaching team.

Dr. Babool shared valuable knowledge, strategies, and practical tools to help our teachers feel confident, inspired, and prepared to support each child’s individual learning journey.

At Aubrey Montessori, we believe that when teachers continue to learn, children benefit. Investing in our educators is an important part of creating classrooms that are intentional, nurturing, engaging, and responsive to the unique needs of every child.

Our teachers are getting ready, our classrooms are coming together, and the excitement is growing! We can’t wait to welcome our students back and begin another wonderful year of learning, discovery, and growth.

🧁🍰 Baking Day at Aubrey Montessori! 🍰🧁

Today our little chefs rolled up their sleeves and had so much fun baking a cake! From measuring ingredients and pouring, to mixing and whisking, each child had the opportunity to take part in every step of the process.

Cooking activities are more than just fun—they help children develop practical life skills, strengthen fine motor coordination, practice following directions, and build confidence through hands-on learning.

🏌️⛳ Golf Week is in full swing at Aubrey Montessori!

This week, our Summer Sports Spectacular is all about Golf, and we couldn’t be more excited! We are so fortunate to have Coach Tompkins joining us to introduce our students to the fundamentals of golf in a fun, hands-on, and age-appropriate way.

Today, our Toddler students had the opportunity to learn, explore, and build their confidence through exciting golf activities.

At Aubrey Montessori, we believe that sports help children develop so much more than physical skills. Through activities like golf, children strengthen their coordination, focus, patience, problem-solving, and confidence—all while having a wonderful time with their friends.

🍕 Pizza Day at Aubrey Montessori! 🍕

Today, each classroom worked together to create a delicious classroom pizza! The children helped add fresh toppings, practiced independence and decision-making, and experienced the joy of preparing food together before sharing it at lunchtime.

Cooking activities are a wonderful way to develop fine motor skills, encourage teamwork, build confidence, and introduce practical life skills in a fun, hands-on environment. These meaningful experiences help children learn by doing while creating lasting memories with their classmates.

We loved seeing the excitement, creativity, and pride on each child’s face as they enjoyed their classroom pizza!

Fruit Salad Fun!

This week, our students rolled up their sleeves and became little chefs as they prepared a delicious fruit salad together!

From washing fresh fruit to carefully slicing, peeling, and mixing, each child had the opportunity to participate in meaningful Practical Life activities that build confidence, independence, and fine motor skills. They also learned about healthy food choices, teamwork, and the importance of good nutrition—all while having so much fun!

At Aubrey Montessori, hands-on experiences help children develop real-life skills in a joyful and purposeful way. There is nothing more rewarding than watching the pride on their faces as they enjoy something they created themselves.
