Our School Age program had a Zoom meeting yesterday with Daynia LaForce and she's the Assistant Coach for the WNBA team Atlanta Dream. Some of the messages she had for the kids (when they asked if she taught her kids tricks) she responded the #1 trick I taught them is to be mentally tough and always believe you're the best one out there, to always have confidence in yourself. She mentioned to the children to let the adults in your life guide you to help you make decisions and the importance of listening to your parents and teachers and the importance of getting an education. She also told them they can do anything they are passionate about and how being on a team taught her so much like time management, working well with others, etc. and how it's like being a part of a family and it's allowed her to travel all over.
