Doing What Matters in Times of Stress is an illustrated stress management guide that can be used with students and clients and is translated into a number of different languages as well as has audio files in English for the mindfulness activities. Additionally, the World Mental Health Report: Transforming mental health for all that was released last year.

As I begin to think about some activities on mindfulness that I might implement into my classroom, I recognize that it may not be a pleasant experience for everyone.

This article points out that "Meditation can activate traumatic memories or thoughts for some children. Teachers should be prepared for this, and understand that mindfulness can mean acknowledging negative emotions and giving students opportunities to process them."

Practices that help students control their impulses can also mask systemic failures.
