Week 1 of Summer Fun☀️

We packed a lot of learning and fun into our first week of summer program! From reading and math to STEM, art, music, Native culture, and lots of other enrichment activities, our students stayed busy, engaged, and smiling all week long.

A big thank you to our cafeteria staff for the delicious breakfasts, lunches, and snacks that keep our students ready to learn each day!

We can’t wait for Week 2!

Summer STEM in Action

Our 21st CCLC summer school students are getting hands-on experience with coding, robotics, and engineering through LEGO® MINDSTORMS® thanks to a partnership with the Chickasaw Nation!

Students are designing, building, and programming their own robots while learning important STEM skills such as:
✅ Coding and computer programming
✅ Mechanical engineering and design
✅ Critical thinking and problem solving
✅ Testing, troubleshooting, and improving their creations

As students work through challenges, they learn that mistakes are part of the engineering process and that perseverance leads to success. We love seeing their creativity, teamwork, and excitement as they bring their robots to life!

Thank you to the Chickasaw Nation for helping provide these amazing learning opportunities for our students and thank you to Mr. Johnson for sharing his knowledge and passion for STEM with our students 🚀 see comments below for more video
