Mrs. Chavers has extended the deadline for our Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest!!! The NEW deadline to turn in your pumpkin is Wednesday, October 21st. We are SUPER excited to see all of the creative pumpkins! Let’s go, Eagles!!! 🎨👩‍🎨✂️

💚🦅BACKPACK FEEDING PROGRAM! 💚🦅

Today marks one week, since our last day in school. We are SO grateful for our little school and the BIG hearts that make it special! At the end of each week, we usually send home our usual meals with our students who were recommended for our Backpack Feeding Program. Last week was different. With the uncertainty of when we would return to school, we prepared to serve EVERY student.

A HUGE “SHOUT-OUT” and “THANK YOU” to our AMAZING Guidance Counselor, Mrs. Murray, and our AWESOME student leaders, for preparing food bags for EVERY student who wanted one in preparation for the storm. Some of our students even asked for extra bags for their brothers and sisters, and of course, we said YES! That’s the kind of compassion and care for others we want to continue to nurture in our Eagles!

We hope our students and families have had time to recover and are doing well. We look forward to welcoming everyone back where they belong bright and early MONDAY, OCTOBER 19th!

🏆🏀🫶A heartfelt “THANK YOU” to the Flomaton parent who captured this special moment during our basketball game!!! We truly appreciate it. We enjoyed sharing the court with Noah and the other players. And yes, THIS is exactly what it’s all about. We love you, Noah!!! Keep balling! You are the man! 🏆🏀🫶

🏀🦅🔥A HUGE “CONGRATULATIONS” to Coach Smith and our Boys Basketball Team on their BIG win!!! This group of STUDENT-ATHLETES is special! They BALL in the classroom and on the hardwood! They are on FIRE! This is what discipline, talent, teamwork, and determination look like!!! Let’s go, Eagles! Keep BALLING! Keep leading, and keep SOARING! We are so proud of you!!! 🏀🦅🔥

🌟📊🏈Our “TEAM OF BELIEVERS” is PHENOMENAL!!! They believe in their TEAM, and most importantly, they believe in our STUDENTS! Before the break, our MTSS Teams analyzed student data and developed strategic “GAME PLANS” to better meet the academic and behavioral needs of our students. 🌟📊🏈

🎯📈Every seat at the table MATTERED, every voice on the team COUNTED, and every student was a PRIORITY! Working together, we are determined to ensure our students SUCCEED! A special “THANK YOU” to Mrs. Murray and Mrs. Chavers for their hard work and for leading our MTSS Teams with intention and purpose! The delicious snacks also made planning for success even SWEETER! 🎯📈

🧡Wednesday, October 21st is National UNITY DAY!!! Students may wear ORANGE shirts and/or accessories in support of Bullying Prevention Month!
👚Friday, October 23rd is our Annual PINK OUT DAY!!! Students may wear PINK shirts and/or accessories in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

We look forward to seeing our EAGLES go Orange and Pink for a good cause. Students must be dressed in school appropriate attire. Participation is not required. Let’s go, Eagles!!!

🌉🦅🏗️So many AMAZING things were happening at ECMS before the storm!!! Please checkout one of Mrs. Kast’s 6️⃣th Grade Science Classes putting their creativity and critical thinking to work as they took on the Building Bridges Challenge by building bridges out of popsicle sticks! Hands-on learning is the BEST learning, and these scholars are learning that science is about what we can create, test, and improve. 🌉🦅🏗️

At ECMS, we believe in building bridges and not walls!!! Our teachers are also laying a STRONG foundation for our students to have BRIGHT futures. So, not only are we building bridges, we are building future engineers, innovators, scientists, and critical thinkers! Kudos to Mrs. Kast and her science scholars for making learning engaging and FUN! Our teachers and students are the BEST! 💚🦅💛
