🎶✏️These students are on a MISSION with their “prepositions”, and they know their positions!!! When we put learning to music, something AMAZING happens!!! We observed Mrs. McGhee’s 7️⃣th Grade English Class reviewing the fundamentals of writing with a focus on prepositions. This video was too cute not to share. 🎶✏️

🎶✏️Music is more than just FUN! It helps students to make connections and retain the information in their long term memory. Hats off to Mrs. McGhee for making learning FUN and memorable with her Prepositions Song! Great job, Students!!! We may need to look for a Chorus Teacher because your vocals are absolutely music to our ears! 🎶✏️

🛳️⚓️🌊On Friday, our teachers and staff enjoyed a “Smooth Sailing Into The Weekend!” They definitely BREEZED through Week 2️⃣, and we are so appreciative of everything they do for our Eagles and school. Our ECMS Family ⚓️ dropped their anchors, 💰 grabbed some treasure, ⛽️ fueled up for dismissal. It was a small treat for an AMAZING crew!!! Week 3️⃣ is here, and we are recharged and READY! 📓✏️Let’s go, Eagles!!! We observed one of Ms. Adams’ 6️⃣th grade math classes gearing up for an EXCITING year of learning as they set up their math journals for the school year! Ms. Adams even took the time to show the students a finished math journal for the year, explaining just how much knowledge, strategies, resources, and learning they will experience and compile in her class by the end of the school year. These math scholars will have an entire math toolbox by May. Thank you, Ms. Adams, for preparing our students to be successful in math! 📓✏️

🏗️⚛️Our “No Tech Tuesdays and Thursdays” are going STRONG, and we are loving the opportunities these days are providing for our Eagles to learn through hands-on experiences! On Thursday, Mrs. Gonzalez’s STEM students were challenged with using the Engineering Design Process to build the TALLEST, free standing structure using only paper and the provided materials. Some of our groups truly NAILED IT!!! 🏗️⚛️

🏗️⚛️Two of our students were especially excited to share that their design did not blow over! Kudos to Mrs. G. for the AMAZING job she is doing with our STEM Scholars!!! We are so proud of all of them! At ECMS, we know that the BEST learning happens when we put the technology down and put our minds and hands to work! 🏗️⚛️

🌍📓☀️We LOVE seeing our Eagles learning and making connections! We had the opportunity to observe one of Mrs. Kast’s 6️⃣th grade science classes as they were learning all about how the Earth’s axis, the Sun’s rays, the hemispheres, and how light and darkness all work together to create the different seasons we experience. At the end of the lesson, the students added a vital resource about the seasonal changes into their science journals. We are confident that the students will need that resource again in the near and distant future. Thank you, Mrs. Kast, for planning this engaging and interesting lesson for our scholars! 🌍📓☀️

🍎🌟A HUGE “CONGRATULATIONS” to Dr. Cooper-West, our District Level CTE Director and former ECMS assistant principal, on her new position!!! 🍎🌟

While we will miss Dr. Cooper-West, we are incredibly excited to celebrate this next chapter in her educational journey! Friday was her last day in Escambia County, and we were grateful she chose to spend part of it with her ECMS Family. Dr. Cooper-West, ECMS will always be home, and our doors will always be open to you!

As you step into your new position, we are cheering you on every step of the way! We wish you all the BEST in your future endeavors. Thank you for your leadership, service, and commitment to ECMS! Once an Eagle Family Member, Always An Eagle Family Member!!! 💚🦅💛
