Recently the Alaska Department of Education & Early Development (DEED) released the 2024-2025 Report Cards to the Public for each school district and school in Alaska. These Report Cards present information about performance for the 2024-2025 school year. During this first administration of The Alaska System of Academic Readiness (AK STAR) assessment, students in grades 3-9 were assessed in English Language Arts and Mathematics. Students in grades 5, 8, and 10 took the Alaska Science Assessment.



To view a 2024-2025 School or District Report Card to the Public, go to https://education.alaska.gov/compass/report-card. Once there, you will be able to select which School or District Report Card to the Public you wish to view. This user-friendly website aims to provide families with clear, common information about all public schools and districts in our State. These Report Cards to the public contain data and information about academics, school environment, teacher quality, and more. If you are unable to access the Report Card to the Public online, please contact your student’s school.

High School Graduation

Good morning everyone!

Just a quick reminder of all the exciting events happening this week:

🎓 High School Graduation Friday May 8
Join us in the gymnasium at 5:00 PM as we celebrate our six graduates!
Doors open at 4:30 PM, and the ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00. We would love to see the community come out and support our students.

🍔 End-of-Year Barbecue Friday May 8
Stop by the front deck of the school between 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM to enjoy some great food with your kids, staff, and community members. Everyone is welcome!

🎉 Prom Night Saturday, May 9
Celebrate the end of a successful school year with us at prom on Saturday from 6:00 – 10:00 PM in the gymnasium.

The final day of school is May 15, with student dismissal at 1:00 PM.

🎓 JAAMS Graduation Announcement & Community BBQ 🎉

We’re excited to celebrate our amazing seniors! Graduation is set for May 8, 2026 at 5:00 PM.

To make the day even more special, we’re hosting a Community BBQ for all students, parents, guardians, and community members in front of the school from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM. 🌭🍔

This is a great opportunity for our seniors to enjoy a meal with their friends and family before their big moment. We hope to see everyone there as we come together to celebrate this important milestone!

💃 Prom Announcement
Prom will be held on Saturday May 9, 2026 from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
Elementary students may attend from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM, and Middle & High School students will be from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM.

Good morning/afternoon folks Bubba here,

I just wanted to let everyone know that Saralee and I are getting permission forms ready for the FY27 school year.
1. School Field Trip permission
2. Medicine consent form
3. Media/photo release form
4. Military or college recruiters parent request to withhold/release of information form
5. Family educational rights and privacy acts (FERPA) form
6. Acceptable use form
7. ED 506 forms

- Note that some forms do not apply to elementary students.

We will be asking for parents/guardians to come to the school starting on May 4-7, 2026 to fill these forms out for each of their children.

- Note that this won’t apply to our graduating SRs & it’s NOT MANDATORY.

We all understand that the beginning of the school year can be a paper hassle. And as mentioned before “it’s not mandatory” but we feel this way you’ll have most of the forms done earlier (before summer break) and less to do next school year (in August when we return) 👍.

📢 JAAMS State Testing Begins April 7! 📢

State testing at Atmu School will begin on Tuesday, April 7 and continue through April 10, with make-up testing to follow.

Please help set your student up for success by ensuring they:
✅ Arrive on time
✅ Attend the full day
✅ Come ready to do their best

🚫 Important Testing Expectation 🚫
No phones or personal technology will be allowed in classrooms during testing.
All devices must be:
📵 Turned off
🔒 Stored in student lockers
⛔ Not accessed at any point during the school day while testing is in progress

🎉 Incentives for Students! 🎉
All students who arrive on time will receive a raffle ticket each day they are present and on time. Prizes include:
