Happy first day of school, Pirate families! 💜💛

Ms. Sarah’s Bus 215 experienced unexpected mechanical issues this morning and will be unable to complete the Cedar Island morning route.

📞 If your child rides this route and still needs transportation to school, please call the school office at 225-3961. We can arrange for our Davis bus to pick up students once it arrives at school, but you must contact the office so we know a pickup is needed.

🚌 We will have a bus available for the regular afternoon route.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s patience and flexibility this morning. Here’s to a great first day! 🏴‍☠️

🍎 LUNCH MENU ALERT! 🍎

We have some great news for our Pirate families! 💜💛🏴‍☠️

Breakfast AND lunch will be FREE for ALL students at Atlantic Elementary this school year! We encourage all of our students to take advantage of this opportunity as much as possible.

Carteret County Schools is partnering with Aramark for school meals this year. Monthly breakfast and lunch menus will be available online at: https://carteret.myschoolplate.com/en/location/atlantic-elementary. Please keep in mind that menu items may occasionally change due to product availability, distribution, or inventory.

We were so glad to see so many of our Pirate families at Open House today! 💜💛🏴‍☠️

A big thank you to **Lilly Adams** for setting up free school supplies for our families and to **Meghann McCoy** for bringing shoes and additional supplies from the supply drive in Davis this weekend to share. We truly appreciate your support of our students and families!

Many of you have already created your **Infinite Campus Parent account** and completed the annual renewal of your child’s information. We know there have been a few hiccups with the process, and we’ll continue working to get those sorted out.

Parents, don't forget — Student Renewals/Updates are OPEN Aug. 4–31! We will have several devices set up during open house and will be available to help you with the process as much as we can.

Say goodbye to that stack of first-night paperwork. This year, you can update it all online:

We had a wonderful opening meeting today as we welcomed our amazing staff back to Atlantic Elementary! We’re excited for the year ahead and all the great things in store for our Pirates.

A BIG shoutout to Sugar & Salt, a Coastal Bakery for the adorable (and delicious!) back-to-school pirate-themed cookies. They were the perfect addition to our morning! 🏴‍☠️💜💛
