AV8 Prep got to fly to Oshkosh 2025 via the Warbird Arrival in a King Air 360, thanks to some of the great flight instructors we rely upon. EAA Airventure (Oshkosh) is such an amazing experience. Arriving in a plane displayed at Boeing Square was really awesome.

The King Air 360 has a maximum cruise speed of 312 knots (359 mph, 578 km/h), a maximum range of 1,806 nautical miles, and a service ceiling of 35,000 feet. Key performance and weight stats include a maximum takeoff weight of 15,000 lbs, a takeoff distance of 3,300 ft, and a useful load of 5,145 lbs. The aircraft is powered by two Pratt & Whitney PT6A-60A engines.

Flying from Florida to Wisconsin in a single leg was an amazing treat for someone used to flying in 172s and other light training aircraft. While we still love low and slow, this was a rare treat.

U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy spoke at EAA - The Spirit of Aviation about changes to Sport Pilot privileges through MOSAIC. We've written about MOSAIC previously, and it will provide a lot of pilots easier access to the skies. As the FAA begins to implement these new regulations, it will provide a less expensive route to flying, with some limitations. These rules will allow sport pilots to operate a lot more airplanes. While we were at Oshkosh 2025, we toured the sea plane basin. Take a look at the cool sea planes from Oshkosh 2025.

AV8 Prep met the President of Velo X EVTOLs, and spoke to them about their experimental personal aircraft. Built like a drone you can sit inside of, it features a ballistic parachute and looks like it would be a blast to fly.
