What a great morning volunteering at BackPack Friends!🎒🥰 Definitely one of our favorite field trips we have! Our little Wave Chasers helped pack backpacks with food and supplies so they can be delivered to 22 schools throughout Carteret, Craven, Onslow, and Jones county.

BackPack Friends provides nutritional meals and snacks to children who may need a little extra over the weekend. By supplying these bags, BackPack Friends’ goal is to assist in meeting their nutritional, mental, and overall well-being needs.

I really wanted our first spring field trip this season to be a project for our little school family to give back to our community, specifically to children. What a great opportunity for us and for our little Wave Chasers to show gratitude and empathy. I cannot express how proud I am of our littles….I am just beyond grateful for our sweet families and for such a wonderful community we live in. Thank you BackPack Friends for having us!

WIND! 🌬️ Last week we learned all about the weather, focusing primarily on wind! We got to play with the wind using toy parachutes, our rainbow kite, and pinwheels! 🪂 🪁

R is for RAINBOW! 🌈 The other week we learned all about rainbows & colors! Color mixing, catching rainbows with prisms, color sorting, adopting a tree on a hike, & more! 😍

Our annual Lantern Walk✨ Friday night we celebrated & welcomed spring’s later nights/darkness by lighting the way with lanterns and learned how we can let our inner lights shine (from within our hearts) by showing compassion, love, & kindness🤍 A huge thank you to all the little Wave Chasers, siblings, families, & friends who came! What beautiful company & sunset we had! I cannot believe this was our last lantern walk on the Crystal Coast 🥺🌊⭐️ getoutside

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!! 🍀 🌈 Lucky the Leprechaun escaped our trap but he was kind enough to leave us some goodies! 🫧 Over the past week we have been learning about the history of St. Patrick’s Day and all about Ireland! 🇮🇪

BIG NEWS…WE ARE MOVING! 🏝️ 📦
My family and I are moving back home to Florida! Therefore, our little beach school is moving as well 🌊 After this summer’s camps, we will be calling St. Augustine, FL home (where I grew up & where our family began!)🐬 Details for the 2026/2027 school year will be announced soon! The school’s updated logo features the St. Augustine lighthouse, & two birds symbolizing my two kiddos who have been on this journey with me since Wave Chasers’s conception over 5 years ago 💕 We are excited for the future and are grateful for the next few months we have left on the Crystal Coast which we have called home for the last 8 years 🩵

PS: beginning this August, Wave Chasers Preschool will be completely moved/no longer in NC. No person/business/school is associated with Wave Chasers Preschool other than myself, Taylor Roth.

Monday-Friday 9am-12pm.

Weekly themes/dates:
-June 8-12 (Big Rock week!): Mermaids & Pirates 🏴‍☠️🧜🏼‍♀️ (FULL- accepting waitlist positions)
-June 15-19: Zoo 🦒🦓 (FULL- accepting waitlist positions)
**no camp June 22-July 6** (will be out of phone/email service during this time📵)
-July 7-10 (Shark week! NO CAMP MONDAY- tuition $180 this camp week): Sharks & Dinosaurs 🦈🦖 (FULL- accepting waitlist positions)
-July 13-17: Christmas in July 🎅🏼🎄 (FULL- accepting waitlist positions)

Cost is $225/week.
One time registration fee for summer of $50/child.

Updated weather policy: Each child/family will be prorated for canceled summer camp days if secondary/indoor location cannot be obtained.

To reserve/obtain a spot, the completed registration packet (current families do not need to complete again), registration fee & weekly tuition are required- cannot reserve spots without these.

Last month we learned all about WHALES! 🐋 We learned about the 5 whale species native to our area, the similarities and differences between whales, dolphins, & porpoises, and also learned the story of….MOBY DICK! In a G-rated version I created, the kiddos became absolutely CAPTIVATED with the tale and also learned the lessons of stubbornness and patience 🎣 In our other books during our whale unit, we also learned about & had great class discussions on the effects of littering, whining, & unlikely friendships! 🩵 I absolutely adore when the class gets as excited about lessons and as me! Definitely one of our favorite units thus far! 🌊
