Welcome to Black History Month. This month, GSUBLSA is honoring the legal giants whose shoulders we stand on today. In 1844, Macon Boling Allen became the first Black attorney barred in the United States. He defied a system explicitly designed to exclude him and later became the nation’s first Black judicial official.
He is the blueprint for everything we do today. ✊🏾⚖️

Competing. Connecting. Serving. Celebrating.
Our BLSA chapter made the most of the SRBLSA Conference. Three moot court teams, career-building sessions, networking events, community impact through an expungement clinic, and a night to celebrate excellence. Thank you to for the hard work you put into affording us these opportunities. The black legal profession is in good hands⚖️

We couldn’t think of a better way to wrap up the semester. 🧥
On 11/21 we held our Coat Drive as our final event of the year. Before we shift our focus entirely to outlines and final exams, the GSU NBLSA chapter wanted to come together and give back to our neighbors.
The turnout was amazing, and it was exactly the energy we needed to finish the year. Service is at the core of the GSU NBLSA mission. We believe that being an advocate starts in the community, not just the courtroom.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated a coat, volunteered their time, or spread the word. Because of you, we were able to provide warmth to those who need it most this season.
