Misty Copeland shattered barriers as the first Black female Principal Dancer at American Ballet Theatre, using her platform to champion diversity in ballet. Her strength, artistry, and advocacy have redefined what a ballerina looks like.

Precious Adams, a soloist with English National Ballet, is known not only for her powerful technique but also for speaking out about representation and inclusion in the ballet world. She’s helping make classical dance spaces more welcoming for everyone.

Debbie Allen is a multi-hyphenate icon—dancer, choreographer, director, and founder of the Debbie Allen Dance Academy. Her work on stage and screen has opened doors for countless young artists of color.

Michaela DePrince, born in Sierra Leone and raised in the U.S., rose from unimaginable beginnings to become an international ballet star. Her journey and advocacy remind the world that resilience and talent know no boundaries.

Alvin Ailey revolutionized modern dance by founding Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, bringing the Black experience to the global stage through powerful works like Revelations. His legacy continues to move hearts worldwide.
