Okay, another SMU dorm down!! ✨ This ball gown–themed room turned out so elegant and sophisticated. We loved mixing touches of Texas with something so timeless and refined.

And can we talk about the pinks in here?! This beautiful, delicate pink is truly the color of the season, but it’s also so classic and timeless. The gold sconces beside the mirrors completely elevated the space and added the prettiest glow!

We’ve had so many questions about the chandeliers in our recent posts. For dorm rooms, they need to be plug-in chandeliers and can be hung using hooks screwed into the ceiling. In this room, we used plug-in gold sconces instead, which gave us that same custom, elevated feeling.

We were able to maximize every inch of this room and transform it into something truly beautiful! 🤎✨

If you know what Crosby Hall at Ole Miss looks like, then you understand just how big of a transformation this is! This space feels so airy, earthy, and beachy all at the same time, with just a hint of vintage and such a beautiful seaside-chic feel.

The wood built-ins in Crosby can be challenging, and many people try to cover them with contact paper or other materials. This year, we decided to embrace the wood and make it a beautiful part of the room. We added finished, textured wood paneling to the cinderblock walls, which tied everything together and created such a cool, balanced look throughout the space.

Moving into any dorm and beginning college can feel a little scary, so we are especially thankful these sweet girls now have such a peaceful and comforting environment to come home to. We absolutely loved working with them and transforming this challenging room into a space that feels warm, beautiful, and truly like home. Another dorm down! 🤎🌿🌊
