This week, Mrs. Pitt’s 1st grade class has been learning all about ancient Egyptian pyramids, the reason they were built, and the mystery behind how the Egyptians built such massive structures. Today, the kids worked in pairs to build a step pyramid using legos.

Our fabulous FIVE (5th grade) went to the Atlanta History Center today to learn more about the Civil War. The immersive experience of the Cyclorama fascinated all and everyone learned more about what life was like in the 1860’s.

Abra Cadabra! What a magical week at our school! Our 3rd graders dazzled us with their end-of-unit showcase, presenting to parents and peers. And to wrap it up with a burst of excitement, our 1st graders had a fantastic field trip to , where they learned all about the apple life cycle and enjoyed several fun activities! What a great start to fall! 🪄🍎🍁

🚀✨ Our 2nd graders had an out-of-this-world experience yesterday with a visit from former NASA physicist, Beverly Lavender! Mrs. Lavender played a crucial role in constructing the legendary Saturn V rocket, which journeyed to outer space a remarkable 15 times, including its historic moon landing in 1969. Thank you, Mrs. Beverly, for sharing your expertise and bringing immense joy to our students! 🪐👩‍🚀

The 5th-grade students are making the most of this lovely weather this afternoon, combining their work on their Oregon Trail journals with quality time in the sunshine. ☀️📚

Our 4th graders have been taking a deep dive into weather related disasters. They are wrapping up their integrated unit by creating movie trailers on CapCut that follow a fiction story article. Their movie trailers include scientific information, suspenseful transitions and onomatopoeia.

Our kindergartners had fun today learning through edible science!

Today our 4th graders stayed busy! They worked as a team to create flood prevention methods and then took a trip to see our local firefighters. They each wrote thank you cards to the fire department for 9/11 and enjoyed an up close tour of the fire truck.
