Let’s talk about our Flourishing Hub! The Flourishing Hub is our ecosystem of interrelated programs designed to walk with our marginalized neighbors on the path to stability. The Flourishing Hub consists of three dynamic programs:
- Sweet Auburn Outreach focuses on fostering relationships between people of a variety of means and backgrounds with an emphasis on our neighbors experiencing homelessness.
- Giving Grace provides immediate emergency relief for vulnerable people who have acute needs. Our efforts are geared toward single-parent families, people experiencing homelessness and the extremely poor.
- The Launchpad is our 12-month coaching program to develop, support and further launch female micro-entrepreneurs towards success and financial stability.

Remerge is impacting even more lives this July! Summers are typically when most nonprofits experience a dip in giving though the need for continued work within our community increases with the hot summer months. Adding to this challenge, this past month we experienced technical difficulties with our donation platform resulting in lost contributions. While we work through those challenges, we're leveraging a different platform for this campaign.
We hope to rally our community to come together with financial support that enables us to best serve our neighbors no matter the time of year. Our goal is to reach $100,000 in donations in July! The link is in our bio to give TODAY!
Happy Juneteenth! There are several opportunities to celebrate Juneteenth this week. This Saturday, The Atlanta History Center will host their annual Juneteenth celebration. The Annual Juneteenth Atlanta Parade and Music Festival is this Saturday at Piedmont Park. Enjoy your celebrations!
It's almost time for our June newsletter! Our monthly newsletter is full of in-depth information, updates and exciting recaps for the organization. To receive our upcoming newsletter, send us a DM with your name & email and we will add you to the list!
We are thrilled to welcome our two interns for the summer. Ashley Estelle joins us from the University of Notre Dame as a History major and Poverty Studies & Africana Studies minor. Dean Impastato joins us from the University of Vermont as a Social Work major and Human Development & Integrated Health minor. They will be focused on exploring social justice and community outreach initiatives in the Sweet Auburn neighborhood. Wish them a warm welcome to the team!🎉
Remerge Family, we need your help! Our giving platform has been experiencing issues since the end of last week. Because of this, we missed out on several generous donations and we need your help to recover. The platform is now up and running. Visit the link in our bio to support!
“What if I rallied my friends and friends-of-friends to respond directly to the needs of my friends in the Remerge community?” - Christy Betz
In 2012, Christy had a profound idea - Rather than fundraising for a broad social challenge, such as ending homelessness, Christy started to ask her friends to help a particular friend of hers with an immediate, solvable need. One by one, needs of the Remerge community were being met, while another community was becoming more familiar with the stories and challenges facing those in less resourced environments than theirs. From this spark, Giving Grace was born, and to this day personal connection and personal response remains the center-piece of Giving Grace.
What do you get when you combine a silicone mold with creativity, community members, and an incredible Artist-in-Residence? A great art workshop!
A few weeks ago, .mtc taught us how to create foam tiles and encouraged us to add a personal touch to them during the “Through the Cracks” workshop. We got to play with clay, watch two solutions transform into foam, and experiment with digital mapping technology.
Miranda, thank you for leading us in a wonderful workshop! The foam tiles we created are now part of a viewing screen for the “Through the Cracks” video installation, which will be one view for the next two weekends.

We look forward to sharing more about each women and their business in the coming weeks. In the meantime, to learn more or support the Launchpad visit the link in our bio!💛
*Public Art Unveiling!* Join us in Sweet Auburn this weekend to see "Through the Cracks," a video installation by Artist-in-Residence .mtc! "Through the Cracks" explores the resilience and excellence of the Sweet Auburn neighborhood. Come steep in a beautiful film projected onto a structure of handmade hexagonal tiles, lovingly created by Miranda and community members. The installation can be viewed from 8pm to midnight for the next three weekends.

In 1999, Church on the Street began with one man spending time with the homeless. Soon after our Executive Director, Andy Odle, came on, and the two began building programs and bringing on volunteers. At the time, they reached approximately 100 families each year. Over the 25 years that followed, Remerge has grown into a 501(c)(3) organization, serving ~2,500 families and 8,000 individuals each year.
Our community continues to exceed our expectations and because of that, we are able to work towards reconciliation. We are fueled by your generous donations and the way you show up for your community each time. To support our programs and initiatives for the coming year, visit the link in our bio to donate!

We’re still thinking about all of the fun we had turning extracted plant pigments into paint with Sweet Auburn Artist-in-Residence last month! Sariyah walked us through the 5-day process of creating lake pigments before giving us the chance to create a range of colorful paints that we added to a community painting that honors the neighborhood.
Sariyah, thank you for sharing all of your insight with us and reminding us all of the diverse offerings the plants around us can offer.
A big thank you to for capturing the beauty of this workshop!
