The mission of The Elaine Sterling Institute is to provide programs of educational excellence that combine the classical European traditions of skincare with modern American scientific technologies. We instruct our students in the competencies set by the state board of cosmetology to equip them with the required skills to pass the state board examination and prepare students to excel in their professional careers.

The man, the myth, the legend... Arif. 👏

Y’all have been in our comments DEMANDING this man get his own video, and honestly? You were right. He deserved his flowers a long time ago.

Arif is the heartbeat of our financial aid office and honestly one of the best parts of being a student here. He’s the kind of person who makes you feel like you actually belong somewhere, even on the days when everything feels overwhelming.

So we sat him down, gave him 60 seconds, and let him be himself. And he delivered. Fully. Completely. With zero knowledge of Nicki Minaj and the most unexpectedly wholesome skincare advice we’ve ever heard. 😭

This is what it feels like to be part of our school family. People who genuinely show up for you, make you laugh, and somehow make financial aid feel less scary. 🎓

happy birthday elaine sterling. july 1.

i don’t even know where to start with this one. because how do you put into words what someone like elaine means to an entire community of people?

she built this school. but more than that, she built the culture inside of it. the way the staff shows up every day like they actually want to be here. the way students feel seen and supported from day one. the way this place has a standard that you can feel before anyone even explains it to you. that’s not an accident. that came from her.

elaine is the kind of person who makes everyone around her better without making it a whole thing. she just sets the bar and the people in her world rise to meet it. the instructors, the students, the whole esi family. we are who we are because of who she is.

so today we just want her to know. we see it. we feel it every single day. and we are so grateful that she exists and that she chose to build something this special.
