Grateful for moments like this!
Connecting with passionate leaders like Crystal Cooper and so many others reminds me why this work matters. When educators are willing to take risks, rethink failure, and create classrooms where students feel safe to try, stumble, and grow, real transformation happens.
Thank you to everyone at the Summit for Transformative Learning (STL in ATL) who joined the session and leaned into the conversation around building Fail-Forward classrooms.
The future of learning is fearless!

Pump Up Primary at the ILASCD Conference was nothing short of amazing!
I had the opportunity to engage incredible educators in conversations about Fail-Forward Culture and how we can create classrooms that are more engaging, thoughtful, and safe for students to take risks, stumble, and grow.
One of the best moments was reconnecting with teachers I’ve had the privilege to coach and support over the years.
Moments like these remind me why I do this work.
I truly love what I do!!

We are building a national space centered on voice, scholarship, leadership, and lived experience.
The Roots of Change Conference seeks presenters, thinkers, practitioners, and change agents who are committed to advancing the power and promise of Black men in education across K–12, higher education, and community spaces.
But this space isn't just for Black men. All are welcome to submit — including men and women educators, scholars, and advocates of all background who work alongside Black men to advance education, equity, and opportunity for all students.
If your work inspires, challenges, or transforms — we want it in the room.
Submit your proposal and help shape the conversation. And if this speaks to your values, please share it with your colleagues, networks, and communities so the right voices are in the space.

There’s something powerful about gathering educators who are committed to shaping the earliest years of learning.
I’m honored to contribute to a space where Pre-K through 2nd grade leaders are thinking deeply about instruction, engagement, and the future of our youngest learners.
Looking forward to meaningful conversations, practical strategies, and real impact in Schaumburg, IL.
If you’re attending, I’d love to connect.
