Catch up with old friends and welcome Whitney Brown ’03, our new Director of Alumni & Community Engagement, alongside Tom Taylor, Head of School.

We’re meeting at Broad Street BBQ in South Downtown. Food is provided, generously hosted by alumni owners Sam Pinner ’07 and Jason Furst ’07.

Throwing it back to high school to welcome one of our own home! 🐍✨

Paideia is thrilled to welcome Whitney Brown ’03 as our new Director of Alumni & Community Engagement! Whitney joined Paideia in 9th grade and brings over 15 years of nonprofit leadership back to campus.

When she’s not on campus, you can find her hiking Georgia trails, catching live theater, or hanging out in Decatur with her wife, Laura, and their cat, Stevie.

Kyle Weisbrod shared with us this crazy story of Pythons reconnecting in the most Paideia way.

Back in August, Kyle Weisbrod ’97, Alexis Weisbrod ’01, and their families boarded a small tour boat in the Galápagos Islands for a 10-day trip—only to realize the only other family on board was fellow alum Erin Hall (née MacDonald) ’97 and her family!

For over a week, both families shared the boat and crew, exploring undeveloped islands, spotting endemic wildlife, and reminiscing about their days at Paideia (including fond memories of Sharon Radford’s biology classes!).

No matter how far our alums roam, the Paideia connection always finds a way!

As we here at Paideia get ready for another school year, here's a look at what some of our alumni got into over the summer. 💙

Molly Bagby '04 is a bike tour guide in Portland, ME. While leading a tour past Portland Head Light, she ran into fellow alum Katie Nall '04, who happened to be in town the same day. If you're ever in the Portland, ME area, book a ride with Molly at Lighthouse Bikes!

Siena Tetali '16 recently left a job in tech to build something of her own: Chai High Spirits, a beverage business bringing South Asian(ish) flavors to the world of boba. She's been selling out at markets all summer and can't wait to see where it goes next.

Lurelia Freeman '87 spent the summer with her granddaughter, Marlena Ellis, cheering on the World Cup as Atlanta hosted matches all season.

This past Sunday, Paideia graduated its 53rd class! It was a beautiful celebration filled with heartfelt speeches, amazing performances, and, of course, our iconic walk-on choreography.

We are so proud of this class and their incredible hard work. Here is a look at their journey by the numbers:

113 graduating seniors
1,002 college applications submitted
243 different colleges applied to
65 different colleges our Pythons will be enrolling in this fall

We welcome this class to the alumni association and celebrate what they will bring to the world.
