MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Lauren Nohl is a fourth-year in the Scheller College of Business. Due to COVID-19, many students have had their internships and other professional development opportunities rescinded. To combat this, Lauren and 2 friends from Vanderbilt and the University of South Carolina started an organization to connect students to pro bono projects; The Pro Bono Collective has matched over 30 students from Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, and the University of South Carolina to opportunities with both local companies and a Fortune 100 company. Aside from just hands-on projects, the organization also offers students opportunities to connect with mentors at world-renowned consulting firms. Lauren is proud to help combat some of the repercussions from cancelled internships and offer students the ability to still get incredible project experience and mentorship this summer.

INTERN SPOTLIGHT: Rising 3rd year, Lilly Viau, is working for Peloton as a Software Engineering Intern this summer. She is working with a team of other interns to write a test code to filter codes used by Peloton. Lilly is looking forward to contributing to this important work, and is excited for this opportunity!

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: This week’s member spotlight is second year Business Administration Major (Strategy & Innovation concentration), Jenn Thorpe. Currently, Jenn is working as a leasing intern at Phillips Edison & Company, a commercial real estate company.

I love getting to know members because the club embodies such a diverse range of interests, successes, and failures and everyone is so willing to share. This morning was SWIB's first ever Member Brunch Mixer. Our members had a great time getting to know each other better and eating delicious food!

Last Night, our members had the amazing opportunity to hear from Mithu Bhargava, SVP &GM of Global Professional Services at NCR Corporation. Thank you to Mithu and the NRC team for organizing such an engaging and meaningful presentation!

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: This week’s member spotlight is third year Business Administration Major (Operations and Supply Chain Management concentration), Claire Corbin.This upcoming summer, Claire will work for Deloitte as a Summer Scholar Analyst for Business Technology.
