Beyond the many awards, the real win was the connection.
From beginning to end, every dancer showed up for one another — cheering, supporting, and standing together every step of the way!!

That is Our AREA.

We close our AREA ✖️ 2026 partnership series with hearts full and spirits lifted after an unforgettable Ailey Experience ATL.

For two transformative days inside the studios, the energy was:

Curated with purpose and excellence by the incomparable , this experience brought together dancers ages 8–adult, all levels, to study, grow, and be poured into by living history:

You know us as Atlanta's premier youth development program that uses dance as the vehicle for transformation. Our graduates don't just learn technique—they earn college scholarships, become community leaders, and develop the confidence to succeed in any field.

Here's what makes us different: We don't compromise quality to serve more people. Instead, we use community investment to expand access to the same world-class training that produces extraordinary results.

As schools across Atlanta eliminate arts programs, AREA is stepping up to ensure every child has access to transformative education, regardless of family circumstances.

About a week ago, we took the stage and represented… JOY: A Brand New Day!

This production wasn’t just a performance — it was a journey through Awakening (Green), Transformation (Red), and Enlightenment (Gold) — a reflection of faith, artistry, and growth. Each dancer embodied the AREA Way — performing with heart, discipline, and purpose.

JOY: Brand New Day reminded us why we do what we do. At AREA, it’s never just about the steps — it’s about spirit, connection, and excellence. Every leap, turn, and moment on stage reflected the light we strive to nurture in every artist who walks through our doors.

And a huge thank you to the incredible Page — notable photographer and proud “AREA Dad”— for capturing BYS of the true essence, quality, and artistic standard of excellence that defines AREA. Your lens brought our dancers’ passion and precision to life!
