Westminster is proud to celebrate the 21 students (pictured) who recently earned recognitions from the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards! Our youngest winners are members of the Class of 2028. In addition to his recognition by the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, sophomore student Samanyu Ganesh '26 also placed as a finalist in the 11th annual Georgia Poet Laureate's Prize. Congratulations, Wildcats!

As we enter the season of celebrating the Class of 2024, Westminster congratulates senior David Blanco for winning the Congressional Gold Medal in recognition of his service efforts! Gold medalists have completed a minimum of 400 hours of voluntary public service, 200 hours of personal development, 200 hours of physical fitness, and a five-day, four-night expedition or exploration.

Westminster was honored to host the Asian Educators Alliance Conference 2024, bringing together educators from diverse backgrounds for a weekend of inspiration and growth on Saturday the 20th. Congratulations to our 27 senior student-athletes who have officially committed to continue their athletic and academic careers at the next level in the fall! Yesterday, we honored our Wildcats with a signing ceremony to celebrate their accomplishments and thank them for their dedication and passion within Westminster Athletics. Among the 27 student-athletes, 22 colleges and universities from across the country were represented. We are excited to continue cheering on our Wildcats at the next level!

The Westminster community came together on Saturday, April 13, for our third annual Day of Service—a new tradition reflecting the School’s deep and long-standing commitment to service. Today we remember Westminster teacher and Medal of Honor recipient, Col. Ralph Puckett Jr. He was a beloved figure in our Wildcat community and his leadership in outdoor and experiential learning left a permanent mark on all who had the privilege to learn under his guidance. Col. Puckett's legacy of courage and camaraderie will forever inspire us.

It’s Christian Emphasis Week at Westminster! Throughout the week, all our divisions will engage in special assemblies, exciting activities, and Easter services. ✝️
Our Lower Schoolers, alongside 6th-grade students, kicked off their celebrations with creativity! Despite the rain affecting their egg hunt plans, they adapted with enthusiasm, organizing an egg roll relay. Moving between the gym and the classroom, other students delighted in decorating eggs with Easter messages. Stay tuned for more of Westminster's throughout the week.

Members from the Wildcat community gathered to celebrate and remember the life of Norma Gaebelein on Monday, in the Parker Board Room of Pressly Hall. We hosted honored guests, including Thad and Electra Gaebelein and former Head of School Donn Gaebelein and Laura Gaebelein Mantius who joined virtually from New York. Together, we fondly recalled her legacy and the profound impact she had on Westminster. To celebrate the legacy of Norma, a plaque was unveiled in Parker that reads: “Following the tradition of Alice Pressly, Norma Gaebelein enriched and enlarged Westminster with her vibrant hospitality. Students, faculty, staff, friends, alumni, and the Board of Trustees were all warmly welcomed in her on-campus home from 1976 through 1991. Thanks be to God!”

Last month over President's Day weekend, the Middle School Robotics Team was busy competing at Brookwood High School for the Georgia State Championships, and won for the second year in a row—that's three times in five years! 🎉 🎉 🎉

Two of the teams are headed to the Vex World Championships in April thanks to their success this season. This marks the fifth consecutive year that Westminster has had its robotics teams placing on the World Championships stage. Congratulations, Wildcats! 🐾 👏

17 Westminster students recently competed at the Georgia DECA's State Leadership Conference, where they demonstrated selling, merchandising, marketing, promotional, branding, and several other business skills to judges. We are incredibly proud of these students, and congratulate the eight Wildcats who placed for the international career development conference (ICDC) in Anaheim, CA in April: Rian Merchant '25, Anthony He '25, Rohan Anand '27, Aydin Damji '26, Chris Qin '26, Rohan Gazula '26, Shivani Dantuluri '26, and Veer Singh '26.

DECA's mission is to prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and colleges around the globe through the guiding principles of entrepreneurship, community service, and leadership.

During February, students participated in various activities to honor Black History Month, celebrating the theme of "African Americans and the Arts." The Lower School hosted a special assembly featuring the music of Okorie “OkCello” Johnson. Middle School students delved into the African diaspora's diverse heritage, while the Upper School presented a captivating showcase highlighting Black Fashion Throughout the Decades. Through these events, our Wildcats explored the profound influence of Black culture on American society.
