A timeless renovation by Spitzmiller & Norris.
This home was originally designed by Philip Trammell Shutze during the 1920’s and went through numerous renovations.
The front portico ( seen in last photo) was not original to the home and was removed to maintain the homes original splendor and give the interior of the home much needed light.
A new limestone portico was added, along with French doors out to a front terrace and dormers added at the third level.
The brick has a wash on the brick to add character and charm.

This Colonial Revival house features shingles and Pennsylvania schist stone. A favorite feature are the corner windows bringing in lots of natural light. Of course, the beautiful foxgloves are stunning!

Reflecting on the outstanding
renovation by Spitzmiller & Norris. The residence, originally the home was designed by Philip Trammell Shutze, has been meticulously restored to its original facade, and fortunately, a vacant lot adjacent to the property allowed for expansion without compromising the home's integrity.

In search of cohesion, a Buckhead home undergoes renovation. This 1920s home had seen many style changes among the switching of owners, leaving its most current state in a clash of contemporary interiors and Italianate-inspired architecture on the exterior.
Intentional decisions were made to enhance the home, so it felt more open and airier, rather than cluttered and dark. This included painting the exterior, replacing and lengthening windows, and adding new, thicker shutters to fit the windows properly. Additionally, can lights were removed and a new cove ceiling was designed, along with a new Foyer Staircase railing and new fireplace mantels. For the family of five, storage was also an important feature so sleek built-ins are designed for the Guest Room, Dining Room, His and Her Offices, and Owners' Bath.
his renovation illustrates how in lieu of structural changes, incorporating subtle, yet effective design elements can emphasize and elevate the beauty and function of a home-as they say, it's all in the details.
