The moving industry is now in their "slower" time of the year. Everyone gets to "catch their breath" after a hectic summer season. Please remember to book your moving dates early even though we aren't as busy as the summer months. There are several Holidays coming up that will impact the transit schedules for van lines to allow owner/operators to spend time with their families and also give them such much needed rest. During this time all moving agents also start evaluating what they can do to make next summer better!

As I said earlier, the summer has been extremely busy in the moving industry. Moving is stressful for families, but it is also stressful for people who work "behind the scenes". Every year the industry overall loses a good percentage of drivers which means household goods sometimes deliver late. It's not done on purpose, it's not to add to an already stressful situation, it's that we are loading and unloading as quickly as possible. Drivers, helpers, and their trucks are being pushed to the maximum. Due to regulation charges regarding drivers and the hours they can work has also added stress on everyone. However, the regulations are there to protect the driver, the customer, but more importantly the household goods they carry. Be patient, we don't like delays any more than the person who is affected by the delay. Every day we are late causes someone or a van line to pay a penalty.
