Culture connects cities, people, and ideas - and that work is happening right here in Atlanta.
We had a fantastic brainstorming session with Alliance Française d'Atlanta and the Consulate General of France in Atlanta - Villa Albertine about the past, present, and future of Franco-German joint cultural programming in our city.
From universities and theaters to cultural centers and the City of Atlanta, strong local partnerships make it possible to create spaces where francophone and German-speaking cultures can meet, inspire, and build understanding across borders. Germany and France’s shared history of building peace through cooperation, dialogue, and cultural exchange is a powerful example of what cultural work can accomplish.
In times when connection matters more than ever, cultural work is bridge-building work - and we are grateful to do it together with such dedicated partners and communities.

Join us for the opening reception of the European Film Festival of Atlanta on May 13th at the Tara Theatre, followed by a screening of SAIPAN.
SAIPAN explores the explosive clash between soccer star Roy Keane and manager Mick McCarthy before the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
