Georgia Tech Student Engagement and Well-Being We aim to provide students with the support, resources, and connections necessary to thrive on campus

While a dedicated focus on academic pursuits is key, success in college is also determined by a studentโ€™s level of connection and involvement with the campus community, as well as how much they practice the various dimensions of wellness. The newly created Division of Student Engagement and Well-Being complements the classroom experience and promotes student success at Georgia Tech through a comprehensive portfolio of activities, functions and programs that:

-facilitate life transitions
-enhance and support learning
-cultivate leadership and civic responsibility
-respond to the holistic needs of students from various backgrounds and identities.

Today is World Mental Health Day, Yellow Jackets! ๐Ÿ

College can be a lot, so remember to take a breath, check in with yourself, and lean on your community. Your mental health matters, and Tech cares about your well-being!

A big thank you to GTHR and the Wellness Empowerment Center for hosting a paint time at Paper and Clay and giving students a chance to slow down and get creative. ๐ŸŽจ

Need support? Georgia Tech offers resources through the Center for Mental Health Care & Resources(mentalhealth.gatech.edu) and the Wellness Empowerment Center (wellnesscenter.gatech.edu).

From the aerial โ€œBELONGโ€ photo to games, music, giveaways, and community-building activities, the event brought Yellow Jackets together to celebrate connection, support, and belonging.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined Belonging and Student Support in making this inaugural event a success!

Last week, we celebrated Commuter Student Appreciation Week with events across campus focused on connection, community and, of course, our commuter Yellow Jackets.

Last week, Yellow Jackets came together to . ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’›

Throughout National Hazing Prevention Week, students across campus joined conversations, activities and events focused on recognizing hazing, speaking up and building stronger communities without causing harm.

From signing the anti-hazing pledge and sharing messages of support to conversations about leadership, belonging and what healthy community looks like, the week was a reminder that everyone has a role in creating a safer Georgia Tech.

Belonging should never come at a cost. Letโ€™s keep looking out for one another, Jackets.

Skills that stick with you are built by doing. ๐Ÿ’›

Student Engagement and Well-Being is here to help Yellow Jackets build durable skills that extend beyond the classroom. Through student organizations, volunteering and campus events, students have opportunities to strengthen skills like teamwork, communication, leadership and problem-solving while making an impact in their community.

This week, students put those skills into action during 9/11 Week of Service, including assembling 800 wellness kits for first responders.

Get involved. Give back. Build skills that last. ๐Ÿ
