One of the most important parts of the school day at TCS happens before the “real” learning even begins.

During Morning Meeting, students greet one another, share, listen, solve problems, and get ready to learn together.

It’s a simple routine, but it sends an important message: You belong here. Your voice matters.

When students feel safe and connected, they build the confidence to ask questions, share ideas, take risks, make mistakes, and learn.

That’s the power of belonging.

Remembering Yayoi Kusama through the eyes of our third graders.

Each year, TCS third graders study Kusama’s iconic "Pumpkin" sculptures and create their own versions. Her art reminds us that creativity begins with seeing the world a little differently.

Thank you, Yayoi Kusama, for inspiring generations of young artists, including ours.

At TCS, we intentionally spend the first six weeks building the foundation for the year ahead by learning names, figuring out how we work together, practicing classroom routines, and learning what it means to care for ourselves, each other, and our shared spaces.

These moments help children feel known, connected, and ready to learn.

The first full week of the academic year is in the books! Our campus has been full of the energy that comes from settling back into the rhythm of learning.

We love seeing TCS students challenged academically while knowing they have teachers cheering for them. This week, that looked like students settling into their classrooms, diving into new work, and Middle Grades students kicking off their grade-level seminars.

The Pack is back!

We kicked off the start of the 2026 - 27 academic year today with students settling into their classrooms, learning new routines, catching up with old friends, and making new ones.

We also loved seeing so many families stop by for Hello with the Head after carpool. What a great way to kick off the year!

Tomorrow's the day! Set those alarms, get a good night's sleep, and we'll see you bright and early. Remember, the new morning carpool time is 8 - 8:15 a.m. and afternoon carpool is 3:15 - 3:45 p.m.
