Grateful for leadership teachers and guides.

I'm so grateful for the times I was seen in my career. One of those times was when I was working for Robie Baker. OMGGGGG !!!! I learned sooOOOOoo much about myself and what it really means to be a leader of community.

One of my biggest take aways was relationship is currency in business. What that meant for me in managing people was that I had to make more positive deposits into people's lives than I made withdrawals or requests. My daddy had the same mind set. He gave more than he got.

That's missing in today's leadership. We have actually developed a God Complex. That's dangerous.

When that happens you don't even know your blind spots. The emperor has not clothes'ish.

What if that relationship or situation that didn’t work out wasn’t supposed to?

What if it was a learning tool for you to see how much you are actually capable of accomplishing?

To build you up for the work your soul was sent here to do? To live the fullest and most true expression of yourself?

Change the narrative around endings - you ‘get to’ grow through it while you go through it.

Starting fresh

Welcome to first day of spring!!! Welcome to a new season and new year in the natural world! There’s something magical about the transition to spring that gives many of us the urge to shake things up and change them around.

The first day of spring sunshine can create the ability to suddenly see the possibilities and gain new perspectives in old situations. We now see things we haven’t noticed during the winter. It’s good to find ways to mark the change of season, both in terms of bringing the brightness of spring into your home and by considering which parts of your life could do with a bit of fresh energy and focus.

It’s a great time to start something new (venture, habit, etc.) by setting a new destination for yourself. It’s important to be intentional as you create. Remember this life is yours to create as you live it. List your goals as actionable steps you plan to take that will lead you to your new destination. Next, determine the frequency required to accomplish measurable progress. Create a plan to celebrate milestones (even the small ones) along the way.

Finally, document your journey. Capture your experiences as life lessons that are documented through journaling the moments of impact that happen along the way to your new destination. These are your lessons and blessings courtesy of the greatest teacher there is - life. It’s also the secret fuel many of us need to encourage ourselves during times your running low on mojo.

Bless your journey.
Bless yourself.
Be still.

Now, relax the need to know how it will all unfold. Begin focusing on gratitude for all the great experiences you will have along the way. If you find this is difficult for you, here are some resources that can support you.

Try scripting while taking a long and luxurious bath. This has been my personal go-to during some of the most difficult times.

Questions or if you could use some encouragement and support, I’d be my pleasure to spend time with you.

Here are some additional resources:

Showing Gratitude is how we keep the things we are grateful for. Gratitude generates energy to God, letting God know we are grateful for what we have, and therefore we are ready for more! Speak to God and let God know what you are grateful for, write down your gratitude and watch how you receive more in abundance! Use these journal prompts to script for 21 days and show gratitude for the life you have and the life you desire!

Thank you to everyone who attended last week's live event! The heartfelt discussions about beliefs was soooo good. Here are a few of the highlights:

Duty to Self. How well do you practice this fundamental principle?

The beliefs we gain as children normally go unexamined for the majority of our lives. They impact every part of our life experience and are also within our ability to update. Do your beliefs about you conflict with your Duty to Self? For example, according to Dove Research: The Real Truth About Beauty (revisited)

4% of women around the world consider themselves beautiful.

11% of girls globally are comfortable describing themselves as “beautiful”.

80% of women agree that every woman has something about her that is beautiful, but do not see their own beauty.

54% of women globally agree that when it comes to how they look, they are their own worst beauty critic.

For a deeper look check out this Ted Talk - 7 beliefs that can
silence women and how to unlearn them.

Some beliefs are hard to change, even when they aren't good for us. Here are some easy ways to begin:

seek to understand yourself over being “right”

trust yourself

what drug addicts do.

See you on next month's live call. Stay tuned for the invitation.

Brian Courtney Wilson - A Great Work (Official Audio) 12/22/2020

The beloved ancestor Dr. Maya Angelou taught me - words matter. As we are moving closer to 2021, it’s traditional to recap events of 2020. Be aware that our words carry weight and helps to shape other people’s perspectives.

What I know for sure {using my Oprah voice} is when things look the most out of control....something magical happens next. It’s at that time I’m able to see how everything worked out FOR me. Yep - the parks that suuuuuuuucccckkked!!!!!
