Meet Iteeah Pounds, Assistant Director for Undergraduate Co-op & Internship Programs. 🌟

Iteeah facilitates the registration process for co-op and internship experiences each semester and connects students with real-world opportunities. πŸπŸ’Ό

Additionally, Iteeah serves as the co-chair for the Provost's Office Employer Engagement and Culture Council. Recently, she helped organize the Council's inaugural spring event for colleagues to connect with one another and learn about the Council's initiatives.

We're pleased to announce that Cassandra Trawick has joined the Office of Undergraduate Education and Student Success as Development Associate. 🐝

In her role, Cassandra will work with colleagues across OUESS to advance fundraising efforts, manage a portfolio of engaged Georgia Tech alumni and friends, and partner with departments on events that have a fundraising focus.

The Atlanta Bridge Program continues to grow, hosting its second cohort of Atlanta Metropolitan State College students at Georgia Tech to celebrate the beginning of their transfer journeys.

Benefitting from a partnership that creates a clear pathway to Tech, this newest group of students gets access to both institutions as they prepare to transfer. They're also joining a program that has already demonstrated meaningful results: 100% of students from the inaugural cohort who applied to transfer to Georgia Tech were admitted for Fall 2026. πŸŽ‰

As this new cohort gets underway, they carry that momentum forward β€” supported by advisors, faculty, and peers across both campuses, and inspired by those who have already navigated the bridge ahead of them.

Georgia Tech students Vincent Griffo, Ojas Gupta, and Samuel Woolsey have been named 2026 Astronaut Scholars by the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation (ASF). πŸš€πŸ‘

They join a class of 79 college juniors and seniors from 54 universities nationwide who plan to pursue STEM research or advance their field after graduation. In addition to $15,000 in financial support, this year's awardees receive a fully funded trip to ASF’s Innovators Symposium & Gala and mentorship and professional networking opportunities with astronauts, alumni, and industry leaders.

🌟 Grad Spotlight! 🌟

Abby ElHamahmy recently graduated with a BS in biomedical engineering, minoring in applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning.

During her time at Tech, Abby was a LA program assistant for Tutoring and Learning Enrichment. She was also involved in Mock Trial and EMPOWER SCD/HealthReach. πŸ‘©β€βš–οΈ
