Apple has released the iOS 26.4.2 update for iPhone, which fixes an unspecified security bug that Apple deemed important enough to patch somewhat urgently. So, update your iPhone at your earliest convenience, as these small security updates are quite important.

Apple has just released the 26.3.1 update for all devices capable of installing this latest update. This is mostly a bug fix and overall stability update. It also allows some Macs and iPads to connect to the new Apple displays that Apple just announced this week. But mostly, you should really install this update to reduce unwanted glitches on your Apple products.

Today, Apple released the latest update for devices running the latest operating system, version 26. The iOS 26.3, iPadOS 26.3, macOS Tahoe 26.3, watchOS 26.3, and other related releases are now available. These updates contain pretty much only security updates and bug fixes. There is hardly any new features included, as these updates are really meant to just reduce glitches as much as possible. Which in my opinion, is a very good thing. You can download these updates from Settings > General > Software Update. And because these are relatively small updates, they are very quick to download and install.
If you need any help with any updates, feel free to reach out.

New iPhone line-up: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max and the new iPhone Air. Apple Watch 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3 and the new Apple Watch SE 3. And the new AirPods Pro 3 with improved noise cancellation. These are all good upgrades, though nothing truly super exciting in my opinion.

Apple has released important security updates for the Mac and iPhone / iPad.iOS 18.6.2, iPadOS 18.6.2 and macOS Sequoia 15.6.1 fixes at least one important security issue that was recently discovered.
Typically, these small security updates are actually fairly important ones because it means Apple have been made aware of something serious. So, if you’re running the latest software on your Mac, iPhone or iPad, make sure to update ASAP.

New Apple products and software are coming next month, as is usually the case every September. We will see the introduction of the new iPhone 17 line, including the new lighter iPhone Air. The new Apple Watch series 11, and a new Apple Watch Ultra 3. And possibly some updates to other products such as the AirPods, Apple TV or HomePod mini. But the biggest change for most people is going to be the software updates available for pretty much all Apple products. Apple is unifying the naming convention for its software to a yearly number. So, for example instead of going from iOS 18 to iOS 19, we will be getting iOS 26. And iPad 26, macOS 26, tvOS 26 and so on. So, instead of a bunch of devices with different OS numbers, we’ll have something that makes much more sense and is easier to keep track of.
The aesthetics of the new software updates has also changed quite a bit with the introduction of a new look that Apple calls Liquid Glass, and it may take some getting used to initially, particularly on the Mac. Overall, Apple is trying to make it easier for users to switch back and forth between different devices and find their way around, and I do think these changes do accomplish that.

Apple has released some important software updates today for many of their products. The following updates were released: iOS and iPadOS 18.6, macOS Sequoia 15.6, tvOS 18.6, watchOS 11.6 and visionOS 2.6. All of these are security releases. So, no new features, just bug fixes and stability improvements. There are also security updates available for Macs running macOS Sonoma and Ventura. I highly recommend that you install these updates when you have the chance. These may very well be the last updates we get before the new fall updates, when iOS and iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe and all the other new releases expected this September.

The Apple Watch 10 is still $100 off on Amazon, even though their Prime day sale is over. So, you can get a brand new Apple Watch GPS starting at $329 instead of $429, which is a great price. Or the Cellular capable Apple Watch 10 for $429 instead of $529. Of course, new Apple watches are expected to come out in September, but this is still a great deal.

The mail app on iPhone seems to be having problems recently for users who have the latest iOS 18.5 update on their phone. A growing number of iPhone users are seeing only a blank screen when opening the Mail app, and the app is completely unresponsive. The only temporary solution that seems to be helping is to restart the phone. This is something that will hopefully be fixed by Apple very soon.

After over a decade of delay, Meta has finally released an iPad version of WhatsApp. Previously, the only way to use WhatsApp on an iPad was to use it within a web browser, which was not a great experience. This new release looks and behaves just like the iPhone version, but it is optimized for the iPad’s larger screen. I’m not sure what took them so long, but at least it’s finally here.
