📌 Aug 15: First Day of School (Preschool - 8th); Early Release at noon. This is a church day so please wear formal uniforms.

12:00pm: All NEW ADS FAMILIES arrive in Carlos Hall for induction & school overview

📌 Aug. 16: Early release at noon for all

📌 Aug 19: Start of regular school hours (Preschool: 9a- 1p, K-8th: 8am - 3pm)

Want to make paying taxes a little less painful and save yourself some money? We have the solution for you! By participating in the state scholarship program through Apogee, a 501c3 nonprofit organization! Apogee provides its participants with a dollar-for-dollar Georgia tax credit all while providing a school scholarship.

The money you choose to apply to the Georgia Tax Credit for Scholarships is MONEY YOU ALREADY PAY IN TAXES. This is not a donation. These scholarship funds will be utilized & allocated by our parochial school, ADS, to deserving students with high academic achievements and financial need.

Here’s how it works (please also reference the timeline above);

🌟If you own an LLC or S-Corp, you have a greater benefit to reduce your taxes owed—up to $25,000 in fact! For example, if your company owes $75,000 in state tax and you allocate the full $25,000 credit limit to ADS for scholarships, you will owe $50,000 instead of the $75,000.

Individuals and married couples can also take advantage of reducing their state taxes owed:

💰 Up to $2,500 filing individually

💰 Up to $5,000 for married couples (filing joint)

💰 and up to $25,000 for LLC’s, Pass-Throughs, S-Corps

The timeline shows you can apply for the tax credit starting in August but in actuality, the state opens this up for all on June 1st! So please go ahead and apply before the State $$ cap is met. It’s a no-brainer!

Congratulations to ADS Alumni, Alexia Spetseris and Joel Luis-Ugho, for ranking in the top ten academically from Lakeside High School’s Class of 2024!

Alexia also received the University of Georgia’s Presidential Scholarship, which is only awarded to 30 students nationwide!

Joel will be attending Georgia Tech this Fall majoring in Computer Science and Alexia will be attending the University of Georgia majoring in International Business.

We are so proud of these two outstanding young adults and wish them the very best as they pursue their respective degrees.

Tonight, we are looking forward to celebrating our 8th graders at our seventh commencement ceremony! 🎓💙

Only two days left with our graduates so we spent some quality time with them at Stone Mountain! ⛰️

Kayaking, fishing, paddle boarding, and picnic were all part of the fun! We will miss these faces so much! 🎣🧺🚣🛶❤️

September 24, 2023 marked the first time ADS Spartan, Sage Raglin in first grade, completed the Dawson Pediatrics Peach Kid’s Triathlon! Way to go, Sage!! 🎉🏅

During this past academic year, Sage worked hard to improve her swimming, cycling and running skills. Moving one step closer to her goal, Sage was recently accepted to train with and join the Dynamo Multisport Program. Together, Sage and her team will race on June 9th in the 2024 Dawson Pediatrics Peach Kid’s Triathlon - Alpharetta. When asked what skills does she use most when working in a group towards a common goal, Sage credits what she has learned as an ADS Spartan – Faith, Respect, Teamwork, and Good Sportsmanship. ❤️👏😍

I think it’s safe to say that Sage is ready for Field Day tomorrow!! 🏃🏻‍♀️🏊🏽‍♂️🚴‍♀️

Happiest Birthday to Rev. Fr. Christos Mars! His birthday was Friday but we are celebrating all week long as this week also marks his 17th anniversary of his ordination! Axios! 🎉🎈🎂

Congratulations to our last but not least Spartan graduate, Connor Wright! 👨🏼‍🎓💙🎉

Connor has attended ADS for the last three years and is an outstanding young man in and outside the classroom. Connor was Captain of the boys champion soccer team and member of the basketball team. He always shows great leadership in the classroom and respectful of his peers and teachers.

We are excited for Connor as he was accepted into the International Baccalaureate program at Tucker High school!

Tyler has attended ADS for the last three years and was a member of our boys basketball team who placed second in the MAAC Division. Tyler is also an incredible artist and he will be sharing his talents as he moves on to Lakeside High School this Fall!

What a beautiful morning celebrating our young Spartans and their graduation into Kindergarten. The ceremony was filled with a graduate processional, songs, and lots of happy tears!

Natia has attended ADS since first grade and is the kindest, most gentle soul! She is a member of NJHS, Beta Club, member of the lady Spartans soccer & volleyball teams, MATH COUNTS team, Vice Captain of the Demeter/Green House, served as patrol, and Guardian Angel.

This intelligent young lady is moving on to Heritage Preparatory for High School this Fall. She will be missed! 💙

Congratulations to our next Spartan graduate, Yianni Papadimitriou! 👨🏼‍🎓🎓🎉

Yanni has attended ADS for the last three years and has been such a supportive and sweet friend to all who know him. He excels in and outside the classroom where he reigned supreme in the Spelling Bee, Co-Captain of the boys soccer team, member of the basketball and flag football team, served as a Guardian Angel, patrol, altar boy at church services, and House Captain of the Red/Ares team!

Yianni has also passed the second level of the Greek language proficiency exam and is taking the third level testing today to receive the Seal of Biliteracy. . 🇬🇷💙

We are excited for what the future holds for this bright young man as he starts his high school years at Lakeside High! Onward, and upward Spartan! 🎉👏

Congratulations to our Afternoon Greek School program and students for completing another successful year under the direction of Mrs. Kalliopi Tsikourika and all the incredible Greek language instructors!
