Giving Day 2024: Give To What You Love

Today is Giving Day! There’s a lot to love about Holy Innocents’, and today, we are all invited you to give to what we love by choosing an area of support that is important to our family. HIES’ goal is to secure at least 65 gifts in each of the eight areas of support to honor 65 years of HIES!

HIES Around the World

STEM Dining Hall & CourtyardHIES Around the World is presented by the PA’s HIES Cultural Awareness & Acceptance Partners (HICAAP) group every year. The event offers HIES families an opportunity to share favorite dishes, non-alcoholic beverages, games, songs, fashions, art and/or stories with one another. Local performers will also share their incredible talents. Come ready to have fun, learn and share what “home” tastes like to you!

ALL HIES families are invited to come to share some food, fellowship and fun! We need community-wide participation across all divisions to pull this off, so please check out the volunteer opportunities on the Sign Up Genius to get involved wherever you can.

WHEN: Thursday, September 12, 6-7:30pm. WHERE: Humanities building assembly room WHY: Learn more about HICAAP (Holy Innocents Cultural Awareness & Acceptance Partners) and meet other HIES parents.
WHAT: HICAAP is a group created to encourage unity, diversity, awareness and acceptance within the HIES parent community. HICAAP events highlight our community’s diversity and offer opportunities for parents to share cultural traditions, experiences and beliefs. HICAAP promotes awareness and education regarding differences in social, economic, religious, racial and gender backgrounds. HICAAP works to foster empathy, create support and generate joy to help Holy Innocents live up to the inclusive tenants of its Episcopal faith.

MOMS MENTORING MOMS - September 9/10 at 8:30AM
Introducing Moms Mentoring Moms led by Mazi Robinson and Chrissy Neumann: a new support network for parents at our school, built on the belief that “No parent should have to do it alone.” This initiative aims to bridge the gap between divisions, connecting experienced mothers with those seeking guidance. Whether you’re navigating the challenges of a new grade level or simply looking for fresh perspectives, Moms Mentoring Moms provides a platform for sharing wisdom, offering encouragement, and fostering meaningful relationships across our school community. Join us in creating a supportive environment where parents can learn from each other’s experiences and find solidarity in the rewarding journey of parenthood. Please join us for our first ever Mom Mentoring Moms meeting September 10th at 8:30 in Inglett Hall of Holy Innocents Church.
