After a much needed break, it’s time to hit the ground running to continue impacting the lives of our current and future scholars! We’ve been working hard behind the scenes and we’re excited to share with you the growth and impact Teach4Purpose has made with our scholars!

The word for January is RESET. Whatever you’re planning to do differently than last year, NOW is the perfect time to set and outline the goals you want to achieve this year. ☺️

We plan to RESET by being INTENTIONAL with planning and executing the goals we’ve outlined for the year.

Some goals include:

☑️ Creating more K-5 digital resources 💻
☑️ Taking the time to celebrate the small wins 🫶🏾

Welcome November! 😌

We have 60 days left in 2024, and we’re so grateful for the support and growth has experienced thus far in 2023. 🥹

Using travel time in the car is a great way to build and reinforce math skills on the go. 🚗

Scholars in lower grades can exercise math skills such as identifying shapes of roadside objects, counting, sorting, and much more! 🛑

Scholars in upper grades can develop a sense of measurement by estimating distance traveled using miles. They can also exercise division skills by calculating the approximate speed of the journey by dividing the distance traveled by the time spent traveling.🚦

There’s a plethora of ways to turn travel time into a learning time. 😎

Its August already!? 😱 2023 is flying by but now it’s officially back to school season!! 😁

The word for August is adaptability. With scholars gearing up for another school year, whether they’re in a classroom or at home, unexpected obstacles may arise or the process of getting everyone back in a routine may become challenging. However, we have to remember to just roll with the punches and take each day as they come.

Did you know audiobooks are super beneficial for readers of ALL ages and levels?

Audiobooks allow scholars to hear the explicit sounds of letters and letter patterns that form words.

Additionally, audiobooks help scholars to engage with the text while gaining exposure to more words, which helps improve:
📚Vocabulary
📚Fluency
📚Comprehension
📚Critical thinking

Start incorporating audiobooks in your scholar’s reading routine a couple times per week watch them grow to love reading. ❤️

I can’t believe it’s July and we’re half way through 2023 already!!🤯

It’s time to give the next 6 months everything you’ve got! 💪🏾

The word for July is MINDSET. Your mindset effects ALL areas of your life. From your self-esteem to your relationships, your mindset ultimately effects your reality.

This month, I want to be intentional about working on my mindset. Two things I plan to do this month is writing down positive affirmations and reciting them daily as well as limiting screen time. Let’s face it, social media can be overwhelming and distracting. Not to mention, sometimes we tend to compare our journey with the journeys of others which can lead to self doubt. 😕

Your mindset is EVERYTHING! And it will effect how you’ll end this year.

Where do you see yourself at the end of this year? How do you plan on working on your mindset this month to reach that goal?
