What a wonderful week at our Summer Theatre Camp and the premier performance of the mini musical, “Color Bomb!” ✨🎭

One of my favorite parts was seeing the kids enjoy all the little details I planned — from character development, costumes, and props to fun activities, water games, treats, and prizes. We also explored themes like overcoming and normalizing performance anxiety, kindness, courage, teamwork, and believing in yourself — all while having so much fun bringing stories to life on stage!

Some other favorite moments included:
🎶 Learning singing basics and performance skills
🎵 Learning songs and choreography
🥁Bucket drumming, music theory, and theatre games
✨ Creative character work and storytelling
🎤 Solo and group performance moments
💛 New friendships and lots of laughter

I’m so proud of all of the campers for their hard work, bravery, and creativity. Thank you to all the families who made this week possible!

I’m so proud of Dylan! He has been studying with me for two years now and in the last several months has started learning songs on his own and having a blast. He didn’t love lessons when he first started but he and his mom faithfully practiced each week and boy, has it paid off! He now has a hobby he truly enjoys.
Here is a short song he titled “Fury” that he composed.

One of the many benefits of music lessons is that they keep students’ minds engaged over the summer! Reading music is like learning a new language—it challenges the brain and builds valuable skills. Music study also strengthens reading abilities as students learn to track symbols with their eyes and process information quickly.

I have personally experienced studying music to make me smarter, more coordinated, and more confident. Plus, it’s fun! What’s not to love about that?

Registration for our Summer Musical Theatre Camp is officially OPEN!

Campers ages 7–16 are invited to join us for a fun, engaging, and confidence-building week of singing, dancing, acting, and bucket drumming—all leading up to a special end-of-week showcase!
