⭐️INSTRUCTOR SPOTLIGHT!! ⭐️🔦 Joining us September 24-27, 2026!!! Jacques Al-Asmar is an internationally acclaimed dancer, teacher, and performer specializing in Middle Eastern dance. Born in Accra, Ghana and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, he brings a rich global perspective to his artistry. He trained with Golden Era superstar Nadia Gamal and the iconic Amina of the Aswan Dancers, shaping his powerful, expressive style. Co-founder of the Arabian Knights band and producer of Salamat Sundays in San Francisco, Jacques is currently touring internationally, sharing his artistry with audiences around the world. We are delighted to welcome him back to Essence of Belly Dance! More instructor announcements coming soon!!

About Saida!!
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina to Syrian parents, Saida began her formal dance training in classical ballet before embracing Arabic dance in 1991 under the legendary Amir Thaleb. She went on to become the principal dancer of the Arabian Dance Company for over a decade, performing on prestigious stages throughout Argentina and the United States.

In 1994, Saida founded her own belly dance school, which has since trained generations of dancers and teachers worldwide. In 2004, she joined the iconic Bellydance Superstars, touring the U.S. after being personally invited by producer Miles Copeland. Her international influence continued through collaborations with composer Mario Kirlis and the release of acclaimed instructional DVDs.

A recipient of UNESCO’s International Dance Council honor for Best Arabic Dance Performer in Argentina, Saida is the creator of the influential Argentine Style and is celebrated globally as a living legend of oriental dance!!
