Making copies for your teammates is one thing… standing at the copier forever waiting between every set is another. 😂📄

And if I’m making 100+ copies, I definitely don’t want to stand there counting pages into individual stacks. 😅

My little hack: run a blank sheet of paper between each set. That way, everything is already separated when the copies are finished!

The blank pages can be reused, and I save myself from counting and waiting at the copier forever. 🙌

One thing I didn’t fully anticipate about moving from 3rd to 5th grade? I’m not just learning a new grade level—I’m learning two. 😂

To teach fifth-grade math well, I need to understand the fourth-grade standards, what students should already know, and how those skills progress into the fifth-grade standards.

It’s a whole new level of planning, learning, and connecting the dots.

But honestly, that’s part of what makes teaching so rewarding. 💛

I may be finding my way in fifth, but I’m learning more every day.

18 years of teaching experience… and somehow those first days in fifth grade made me feel like a first-year teacher again. 🥹

Not because I forgot how to teach—but because I’m learning a whole new grade, and that takes time.

I’m reminding myself that being a beginner at something doesn’t erase everything I already know.

I’m learning. I’m adjusting. I’m finding my way. 💛

A little August treat because… kinda busy. 😂💛

These first few weeks of fifth grade have been exciting, exhausting, humbling, and full of learning.

I’m still finding my rhythm. Still figuring things out. Still making progress.

And honestly? I’m learning that I don’t have to have it all figured out to know I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.

One day, one lesson, and one little win at a time. 🍎✨

From an empty classroom in May to this in August. 🥹✨

After 8 years in third grade, I’m officially starting a new chapter in fifth—and while there’s still plenty I want to add and change, I’m so happy with how it’s coming together. 💛
