The Cathedral Preschool

We loved welcoming Dr. Tamerah Marable from Tiny Roots Pediatric Dental Studio to campus last week! 🦷✨

Dr. Marable and her “tooth fairies” brought big smiles and important lessons for our Pre-K and Kindergarten students. They taught us how to brush and floss the right way, and how the foods we eat help keep our teeth strong and healthy.

Our students had so much fun flossing the giant tooth models, singing along to toothbrushing songs, and meeting Dr. Marable and her wonderful team. We are so grateful for community partners who help us build healthy habits early!

Today in chapel, we marked Ash Wednesday together as a school community. Reverend Ashley reminded us of a simple and powerful truth: God made us. At the beginning of Lent, we pause to remember who we are and whose we are.

Reverend Ashley offered ashes to the adults in attendance, a visible sign of this sacred season of reflection, humility, and love.

We were honored to welcome 𝐋𝐚𝐃𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐬 𝐁𝐢𝐚𝐬-𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐬, one of the Kuumba Storytellers of Georgia, for a truly magical visit filled with story, song, rhythm, and history.

Our children leaned all the way in as they listened to tales of the Peace Bird and Anansi the Spider, lifted their voices with joyful sound effects, heard the meaning of Kente cloth, and enjoyed an interactive drum circle.

With full audience participation, calling out the Peace Bird’s cry and bringing stories to life, this experience was a beautiful reminder of the power of storytelling to connect us, teach us, and build community.

A meaningful kick-off to 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 and 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵!

Our 𝕒𝕟𝕟𝕦𝕒𝕝 ℂ𝕙𝕣𝕚𝕤𝕥𝕞𝕒𝕤 𝕡𝕒𝕘𝕖𝕒𝕟𝕥 was a heartwarming success! We witnessed pure joy as our threes, pre-k and kindergarten students took the stage. Parents, grandparents, and friends gathered to watch our stars shine. Did you catch the moments that melted your heart?

Our halls are officially decked thanks to our incredible Parent Council Christmas Committee! From wreaths, a nativity, to our beautifully trimmed Christmas tree, the whole school is sparkling with Christmas cheer.

The temperatures have dropped, but the fun and happiness at Cathedral Preschool hasn’t slowed one bit. Our playground turned into a sea of red and yellow this week, and our children made the most of every moment—tossing leaves, making leaf angels, and soaking up the crisp autumn air.

These simple, seasonal joys are some of the best parts of childhood, and our Treehouse Playground is delivering all the wonder!🍂✨
