There is one big problem with referrals. . . they aren’t scalable. Sure, you can use door hangers, yard signs, email, and good old-fashioned phone calls. These are all valid, but meaningful growth requires more.
You need to generate a predictable lead flow in order to justify the types of investments required to grow your business:

More employees
More sophisticated management tools

1️⃣ Choose wisely - between all of them I recommend starting with Angie's List. There are still issues and frustrations with this but we've seen the most success with them.
2️⃣ Specify job type - you have to be super specific with the types of job you want.
3️⃣ Lead handling process is crucial because they are selling leads to multiple competitors. A homeowner is getting bombarded with all the leads so you need a good process to get out there, give the estimate, and follow-up
4️⃣ Track everything in your marketing such as types of leads, how much did we pay, how many qualified leads, and close rate. This is how you understand if what you're doing is working or not.
