Easter at LaAmistad was a blast! 🌷✨ Our students had a fantastic time hunting for eggs, face painting, and making joyful memories together. A huge thank you to our amazing afterschool partners for bringing so much fun and excitement to our students’ week! We’re grateful for your support in making these moments possible. 💛🐣

Congratulations to Kristell (5th gr.) and Dylan and Amy (4th gr.), three of our Clairmont students, who were inducted into the National Beta Club for their academic excellence and good character!

🌞 Ready to make a difference this summer? LaAmistad is looking for passionate, energetic camp counselors for Anímate 2026! If you love working with students and want a fun, meaningful job, this is your chance to inspire and empower our community.

Camp runs June 8 – July 3 at St. Pius X High School, with training (and lunch!) provided. Preference given to those who can commit to the full month or at least one full week.

LaAmistad is offering college tours for our high school alumni and students!

We are so grateful to Sojourn Collegiate Ministry and University of Central Florida for sending their incredible Alternative Spring Break Groups to serve with us these past two weeks! These dedicated students rolled up their sleeves and made a huge impact—deep cleaning our Community Center, leveling and labeling hundreds of books, and tutoring afterschool programs at Peachtree and Embry Hills. They also prepped volunteer appreciation gifts, helped with alumni induction prep, organized afterschool closets, and even braved 30-degree weather to wash four buses! Their hard work, positive energy, and commitment to service truly inspired us. Thank you for making a difference in our community! 💙🙌

Briarwood Afterschool program had an amazing time working with students from the Oglethorpe University Book Club! 📚✨ Together, we shared the joy of reading through engaging read-alouds and brought stories to life with fun, hands-on craft projects. Moments like these help spark imagination, build confidence, and promote a lifelong love of literacy in our students. Thank you to our wonderful guests for inspiring young minds and making the day so special! 💛

🌎 Happy Global Recycling Day! Today at Bolton Academy, our students discovered the importance of recycling and learned where our trash really goes. Huge thanks to our incredible volunteers for their lesson and the hands-on activity that inspired everyone to care for our planet. . Together, we’re building a greener future—one small step at a time! ♻️💚
