GCA high school students met up at Fun Zone in Pooler for games, laughs, and a chance to hang out with other Champions from across the state.

“The best teacher in the whole American country.”

Honestly, tough to top that review. 😄

One student thanked Ms. Bradford for teaching them things they didn’t know, being kind and wonderful, and, very importantly, letting the class play games.

Learning new things and having fun doing it sounds like a pretty good school day to us.

Thank you, Ms. Bradford, for making class a place students enjoy showing up to.

🍎 Teacher Spotlight: Ms. Cox

Sometimes math makes a lot more sense when you can actually watch it happen.

One student appreciates how Ms. Cox works problems out right on the screen, uses IXL Group Jams for extra practice, and is always willing to stop and help when someone needs it.

Clear explanations. Plenty of practice. A teacher who makes asking for help feel easy.

That’s a pretty good combination.

🌟 Champion Spotlight: Kielyn

New to GCA.

You’d never know it.

Kielyn has jumped right in with thoughtful questions, strong participation, and a willingness to help anyone who needs it. She reads aloud, joins discussions, asks for clarification when she needs it, and brings the kind of energy that makes class better.

And apparently, teachers are noticing.

Four different teachers nominated her.

One even said Kielyn’s smile can turn around a rough day.

That’s a pretty great way to start a new school.

Kielyn, keep asking good questions, helping others, and bringing that energy.

Ms. Goggin came in strong.

And her students noticed. 😄

One student described her as strict from the start, but in the way that kept everyone on task, prepared, and moving forward.

She made expectations clear, provided the materials students needed, communicated well, and popped in with help when things got tough.

Sometimes the teacher who keeps you focused is also the one making sure you have every chance to succeed.

Thank you, Ms. Goggin, for bringing the structure, support, and follow-through your students could count on. 💙
