8/19: Come meet OIE advisors and learn about study abroad opportunities, Global Research and Internship Programs, the International Plan, scholarships, and more! This is a great time to ask questions about Tech's many programs in one place. We hope to see you there!

8/21: This Education Abroad 101 will focus on two specific Faculty-Led Study Abroad (FLSA) programs- the Oxford Summer Program and the Pacific Spring program! Please join us to learn more about these awesome opportunities!

8/25: Connect with former/current GRIP interns about their experience finding, applying for, and completing a global research or internship opportunity!

8/26: This Education Abroad 101 will focus on studying abroad on an Exchange. Studying abroad on exchange allows Tech students to study abroad at Partner Institutions--of which we have more than 70 across the world. Studying abroad on exchange means that students have flexibility in choosing courses to satisfy their major/elective requirements, their housing while abroad, and have many affordable semester-long options to choose from. Exchange deadlines fall early in the semester. Fall and Academic Year 2026 exchange deadlines are Feb. 1, 2026. Spring 2026 exchange deadlines are Sept. 1, 2025.

RSVP to these events and more in the link in our bio!📝

Hi! My name is Esmeralda Pelico-Natividad and I'm a rising second year business major. I am participating in the East Asia Study Abroad in Security and Resilience program! Going abroad and being able to see South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan has been such a blessing and something that has greatly impacted my education. I have been able to learn about international affairs while being the countries that we are learning about giving me a better grasp of what is happening around me! If I was ever given the opportunity to do it again, I would do it in a heartbeat. 🇰🇷 🇯🇵 🇹🇼

This week we heard from two of our Cadiz LBAT students, Annabelle and Tana!

"¡Hola! My name is Annabelle Manville. I am a rising second-year Environmental Science major, and this summer I had privilege of participating in the Spanish LBAT: Smart Cities study abroad program in Cádiz, Spain. For five incredible weeks, I lived with a local family, immersed myself in the Spanish language and culture, took two fascinating classes (Science and Technology in the Hispanic World and Sustainability in Spain), and explored everything from ancient Roman ruins to cutting-edge sustainability projects.

I didn’t know anyone in the group before arriving, but by the end, we felt like family. From beach days and flamenco lessons to weekend trips and spontaneous adventures, we made lifelong memories (and even took a trip to Portugal together!) I’m so thankful for such a close-knit, supportive group and for our amazing professors who made every lesson engaging and meaningful.

We had weekly excursions to unforgettable places like Sevilla, Córdoba, Baelo Claudia, Vejer, Gibraltar, and even Tangier, Morocco, each place offering a new layer of history, beauty, and cultural insight. Back in Cádiz, I truly fell in love with the city. It’s hard to put into words the charm, beauty, and rhythm of life there. The winding streets, the sea breeze, the historic plazas, and the vibrant Andalusian spirit; it was all magical. This program gave me so much more than just academic credit. It gave me growth, confidence, perspective, and a deep appreciation for language, culture, and connection.

If you're thinking about studying abroad, do it. Cádiz will forever hold a special place in my heart. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about the program!🇪🇸💛" - Annabelle Manville, Class of '28, Major Environmental Science

Hey! I'm Teddy Suazo, a rising 4th year Business student concentrating in Finance and currently studying abroad on the Oxford Summer Program. For the last month, I have been traveling with a group of 40 other Georgia Tech students throughout Portugal, Spain, France, and Belgium. Being able to attend concerts and tour museums, castles, and religious buildings from all over Europe has been such a privilege and massive learning experience for me. As we learn about the rich history and culture of the cities we visit in class, I can't help but to feel incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such an eye-opening experience. Living and studying abroad has been one of the most transformational times of my life and I'm so excited to continue with the second half of the summer!

Hi! My name is Kate Keuler and I'm a rising third year majoring in biomedical engineering. This summer I have had the privilege of participating in the BME Galway Summer Program, where I get the amazing opportunity to be immersed in Galway, Ireland for 10 weeks! Our program not only gives us the chance to learn from some of the department's best professors but also integrates us into Ireland's prominent medical device industry to see how our studies can be applied in the real world. Being here has given me the chance to go on amazing adventures across Europe, make many new friends, create once-in-a-lifetime memories, and is something I will always be grateful Tech gave me the chance to do!
