After emancipation, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU’s) were formed to provide higher education to the newly freed Negro enslaved. Since this time, HBCU’s have produced millions of graduates that contribute to every sector of society. Today, HBCU’s must evolve again and accept the challenge of preparing our nation’s Black citizens and beyond with the industry skills that will ensure their employability and viability in the future of work, fourth industrial revolution and beyond.

This OHUB interactive panel with Momentum Learning , Princess Sampson, & Dr. Kinnis Gosha will make the case for the launch of a coding school at an HBCU, MSI, foundation, corporation and beyond. Join us at www.blackandhired.com

This interactive discussion with Demetric Duckett, Marlon Nichols, Chandler Malone, and A***n Simone will discuss the report and its implication on creating a new class of investors, funds and founders committed to creating new multi-generational wealth in socially disadvantaged communities and beyond. It will not regurgitate the discouraging statistics that have been reported out over the last decade. We will discuss solutions. Tune in at: www.blackandhired.com

In a 2017 study by Northwestern University entitled "Income Segregation and The Rise of The Knowledge Economy", it was determined that innovation density increases income segregation and economic immobility. So as cities become smarter and more innovative, it’s important they create innovative models like OHUB’s concept for equity districts to ensure that all of its citizens can participate in shared prosperity.

This featured interactive panel will discuss what cities, developers and ecosystem builders can do to ensure this espoused equity for all. Plug in at www.blackandhired.com with OHUB , Lesley Elwell, Kevin McGinnis, & McClain Bryant Macklin.
