The 100 Black Men of Atlanta, Inc. recently gathered for our 40th Anniversary Biennial Members Retreat, hosted by Georgia Power.
This powerful convening brought together members of the brotherhood to reflect on our legacy, strengthen our bonds, and recommit to the work of mentoring and developing the next generation of leaders.
A special highlight of the retreat was hearing from two distinguished members of our brotherhood: Ambassador Andrew Young and John Hope Bryant.
Ambassador Young, a civil rights icon, global humanitarian, former United States Ambassador to the United Nations, and former Mayor of Atlanta, helped set the tone for a retreat rooted in legacy, service, and purpose. John Hope Bryant, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Operation HOPE, delivered a keynote that challenged and inspired us to continue advancing economic empowerment, leadership, and opportunity for our community.
Microsoft also contributed to the retreat with an engaging panel discussion focused on its Data Center Engagement efforts, offering members valuable insight into technology, innovation, infrastructure, and the opportunities shaping our region’s future. Their participation added an important forward-looking perspective to the retreat, connecting the work of the brotherhood to the digital economy and the pathways our young people will need to access, lead, and thrive in the years ahead.
We also had the privilege of celebrating our Project Success students, whose presence reminded us why this work matters. Their leadership, promise, and potential are the reason the 100 continues to invest in mentorship, education, and exposure.
Thank you to Georgia Power and its leadership team for serving as our gracious host, and to every brother, student, and partner who helped make this retreat a meaningful celebration of 40 years of impact.
As we honor our past, we remain committed to the future: investing in our youth, strengthening our brotherhood, and building a lasting legacy of excellence.

We are proud to celebrate Team 3091, the 100 Scholars, for earning the Rising All-Star Award at the recent FRC Peachtree Gwinnett District Competition.
This award recognizes a team that has shown exceptional resilience, growth, and determination in the face of challenges. After experiencing major turnover in student leadership, these young scholars stepped up, supported one another, embraced new ideas, and kept their program moving forward with excellence.
As shared by the judges, the 100 Scholars proved that resilience, teamwork, and determination can power any team through change.
Please join us in congratulating Team 3091, the 100 Scholars, on this outstanding accomplishment. We are incredibly proud of the way they continue to lead, learn, and represent the power of perseverance.
Coffee. Conversation. Connection. Purpose. ☕️🤝
This weekend at Coffee & Conversations, service-minded men from across Atlanta—members and non-members—came together for real fellowship. No speeches. No posturing. Just authentic connection, shared values, and a collective commitment to showing up for our youth and our communities.
Because when good men build community with intention, impact follows.
Thank you for hosting, and to everyone who pulled up, listened, shared, and connected. If you’ve been looking for a brotherhood rooted in service, there’s a seat at the table for you.

REV. JESSE L. JACKSON, SR.
1941 – 2026
Faith. Courage. Service.
Rest in Power.
Today, we honor the life and legacy of Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr., who passed away on February 17, 2026, at the age of 84.
From the front lines of the civil rights movement to decades of organizing for dignity, opportunity, and justice, Rev. Jackson’s voice carried hope into rooms where it was needed most. His leadership reminded the world that service is not a moment — it’s a lifetime.
At the 100 Black Men of Atlanta, we reflect with gratitude for a life poured into people, progress, and purpose. May we continue the work with the same faith, courage, and commitment.
Rest in Power, Reverend Jackson.

Black history isn’t just something we remember—it’s something we carry forward.
This February, we’re honoring the historic members of our organization who poured into our community with excellence, vision, and love—men whose leadership helped shape generations.
Each week, we’ll share stories of legacy, sacrifice, and impact—because when our youth can see what’s possible, they can become what’s next.
