This exercise does far more than just train your abs. 🔥
By continuously squeezing the block between your legs, you’re creating tension throughout your body and training your:
✔︎ Core muscles
✔︎ Hip adductors
✔︎ Hip flexors
✔︎ Pelvic and trunk stability
✔︎ Whole-body coordination
The real goal isn’t simply to move your legs, it’s to keep your trunk stable while your limbs move independently.
Pay attention to what happens as you extend your leg. If your lower back begins to arch, your ribs flare, or the pressure on the block decreases, that’s a sign your trunk may be losing stability.
This is where the exercise becomes valuable. It teaches you to brace your core, maintain intra-abdominal pressure, and control your pelvis while your legs move.
That can translate into better movement efficiency and stronger force transfer during training.
It’s especially useful if you want to:
✔︎ Build better core control
✔︎ Maintain a stable trunk under movement
✔︎ Improve pelvic and waist control
✔︎ Move your legs without compensating through your lower back
✔︎ Develop better body awareness and coordination
Don’t underestimate simple exercises like this. The goal isn’t just to make your abs burn, it’s to teach your entire body to work together.
Save this one and add it to your warm-up before your next workout. 💪🔥
