It aims to centralize reporting of assessment activities, evaluate progress in meeting strategic plan goals, and assess the libraries’ value to university population.

The Grand Challenges in Assessment in Higher Education, Data Visualization Team is pleased to announce the launch of the Data Visualization Toolkit. The toolkit provides tools and information needed to create impactful data visualizations that can guide data-informed decision-making. Each section of the toolkit provides an overview of key concepts and practical tips to help you get started with each phase of the data visualization process. The Southeastern Library Assessment Conference invites session and poster proposals for the November 12-13, 2025 online conference.

We encourage thoughtful, timely proposals on any topic related to assessment in libraries of all types.

Important dates:
~April 30, 2025: Deadline to submit proposals
~By May 30, 2025: Proposal notifications sent
~June 1, 2025: Conference registration opens
~October 31, 2025: Regular registration closes

What would you like to see at SLAC 2025?

Greetings to all former and future SLAC attendees! We know it's been a while, but we're writing with some great news to close out 2024.

Planning for SLAC 2025 is officially underway! While we do not have specific details regarding dates and registration at this time, we can share that the conference will take place in the fall of 2025 with a virtual format.

Attendees can expect a similar experience to previous SLACs as we remain committed to offering a diverse program with practical sessions covering a variety of topics relevant to new and seasoned library assessment professionals.

Additionally, we recognize the value previous attendees have placed on the unique and intimate nature of our conference so we will continue to limit the number of attendees and provide opportunities to network and interact throughout the conference.

The decision to postpone the Southeastern Library Assessment Conference was not made lightly, and we understand that many of you were eagerly looking forward to it. Please know that we share your disappointment and regret any inconvenience this may cause.

Our team is committed to continuing the exchange of knowledge and best practices in library assessment. While we won't be able to gather this year, we continue to develop plans for future opportunities to facilitate continued learning and professional development.
