As an autism mom of two autistic sons, I lived through stares, negative comments, people apologizing when I said my sons had autism, my sons being excluded ,ignored and misunderstood.
I remember feeling uncomfortable walking through Walmart because my oldest son now 25 was stimming and making lots of noise. Back then they didn’t tell you put headphones on a child with autism to help block out the noise, or do a social story before going into the store to prepare them for what was coming. Autism wasn’t widely understood then so there was little or no tolerance for someone who had it. And there were certainly no shirts that boldly told people how to respond to a child with autism or help a mom walking through Walmart with her crying child.
My purpose and mission is to make sure that moms today can get the

For years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside autism families—not only as a behavioral therapist and advocate, but as a mother of two incredible autistic sons. I’ve celebrated victories, comforted parents through difficult moments, and learned lessons that have forever changed my heart.

Now it’s time to bring those conversations to a bigger table.

I’m excited to announce the launch of The Autism Table Podcast, premiering August 1!

This isn’t just another podcast. It’s a place where autism parents, caregivers, educators, professionals, self-advocates, and supporters can come together for honest conversations, practical guidance, encouragement, and hope.

Our very first episode is:
“What People Don’t See About Autism.”

We’ll talk about the realities many families experience but few people truly understand—from sensory overload and masking to meltdowns, public judgment, and the strength it takes to keep showing up every day.

Whether you’re part of the autism community or simply want to learn how to better support those who are, there’s a seat waiting for you.
