As a homeschool mom, I was TERRIFIED when my 9 yo daughter was diagnosed with Dyslexia! Outside of public school services, I didn’t know where to go to help her. So I decided to be trained in Orton-Gillingham (OG); the leading pedagogy for Dyslexic Learners.

Using OG methods, my daughter gained confidence (we both did)! She dual enrolled in Community College, earned a 4.0 GPA and over 30+ credits! Now at age 25, she’s an Interior Designer, growing her own business!

This summer, I’m giving back to the Atlanta homeschool community with The Genius Group for Dyslexic Learners! 20+ years of homeschooling has cultivated my unique approach of whole body kinesthetic movement, OG direct instruction and Genius Coaching; discovering, centering and celebrating your Learner’s exceptional intellectual power, original creativity, and superior talent!

When they ask about the digital divide, they won’t be able to include our children in that discussion!!

Years ago, the divide was based on who had access to and knowledge of technology (internet). With kids owning phones and tablets, the new digital divide is “who knows how to leverage blockchain technology, who knows how to CREATE FINANCIAL SYSTEMS, NOT JUST HOLD & TRADE TOKENS?”

Today’s discussion planted that seed in some and grew it in others! Genius School kids are creating utility and tokenomics for their $BeMeToken that will fund what matters most to them; 13 years of FREEDOM & AUTONOMY (as well as food & Robux 😁)!

A private school had to close their doors before the end of the school year due in part, to funding. Parents, students and teachers are experiencing this loss.

At the end of the day in our Genius School, we always close with, “Who did you get to BE today and what are you grateful for?”

Today, I got to be PROUD and a RISK TAKER! My friend Aramiez (.rush ) lead Art Collab Studio by suggesting we draw landscapes. I was just gonna observe, but I felt the urge to try.

We found this video on YT and some of us followed along. A great discussion was had about friendships and what we do well to manage and enjoy them. Before I knew it, my little sketch was coming along!!

We didn’t get to the other things on our list today, but we laughed and shared and listened and some of us even took a risk.

I am grateful for my lil Geniī friends 💜🩷

Our Geniī kids in the Geniīverse created their designs and negotiated their % of the profit.

At first, they agreed to a 70/30 split (70% for them; 30% for Genius School marketing)

BUT,

after seeing how much Bonfire charges to print and drop ship items, they QUICKLY voted to increase the profit share to a 80/20 share! 😂

The Genius School is a private microschool opening Fall 2025 in North Atlanta. Kids 1st through 6th grade lead their own learning through student-created interest groups, real world skills, and a community that trusts them completely.
