Genius School @ Heartwood hosted “Create your Dream School Event” over the wknd.

We began by asking kids, “Who do you never get to BE in school?” They wrote it down.

Then we asked, “If you could BE _____, what could you DO?” They wrote it down.

We asked, “who else wants to DO _____? How many days?” The kids placed it on the weekly calendar.

Finally, We placed our OFFERINGS; activities kids can say NO THANK YOU to our invitation. We asked if kids WANTED support in math, spelling or reading. Some said “Yes Please” and wrote down how many days.

At the end, they were INSPIRED by the self directed school they created!

We trust kids & teens to be curious and able to direct their own learning!!
