Inside Cannon Chapel on May 9, the inaugural cohort of Candler’s La Mesa Academy for Theological Studies gathered to celebrate the culmination of two years of theological formation, leadership development, and shared learning across languages, cultures, and ministry contexts.

Candler Dean Jonathan Strom calls the milestone "a sign of hope for the church. These students have demonstrated how engaged learning, creative collaboration, and a deep desire to serve God’s people can bring forth something new and exciting.”
