Your actions are disgraceful, and it’s time you feel the weight of the damage you're attempting to cause at the sake of your state's citizens' health.
Stop playing political games with the health and well-being of the people you claim to serve. This isn’t just irresponsible — it’s shameful.
Let’s not pretend: not a single public citizen in Nevada is asking for or wants what you’re proposing. No one wants to be treated by someone who lacks proper education, training, and licensure. That fact should rattle you to your core. Find just one Nevadan who genuinely supports being cared for by an unqualified provider — you won’t.
The Nevada Board of Dentistry was created to protect the PUBLIC, not to serve as a puppet for profit-driven agendas. Attempting to gut the qualifications required to be a licensed dental hygienist is a direct betrayal of that mission. It is an affront to professionalism, public trust, and the very foundation of healthcare ethics.
How dare you push SB495 mere days after AB334 passed — legislation that expanded licensure for qualified hygienists from other states. Within days, you pivot to proposing a bill that attempts to erase the very profession you just acknowledged as vital. That’s not just hypocritical — it’s morally bankrupt.
And instead of advocating for hygienists to practice independently — a reasonable, evidence-based solution embraced by other states — you’d prefer to hand over patient care to individuals with no formal education or credentials. Let’s be honest: this isn’t about improving access. It’s about control and profit and your priorities are loud and clear.
You claim this won’t "lower standards?" Are you serious? Do you actually expect anyone — especially those within the profession — to believe that eliminating educational and licensing requirements won’t result in a dangerous drop in care quality? Your attempt at convincing the state legistlature is also a slap in their face. No matter how much you try to twist the narrative, your lies, propaganda and deception need to stop NOW.
If you claim there’s a shortage of hygienists, then prove it. Provide the data. Show your work. Cite your sources. Give the facts. I want numbers for proof and not from your "buddies in the club." Otherwise, stop weaponizing misinformation. This is healthcare — not a business venture.
Stop presenting opinion as fact. In dentistry, we base our practice on actual research, not opinion. You do know this, right?
Your relentless efforts to suppress, devalue, and now potentially erase a licensed healthcare profession speak volumes. You’re not protecting the public. You’re protecting your pockets — at the expense of patient safety.
And let’s not ignore the cowardice of disabling comments on your public posts. What are you so afraid of — the truth?
This is not leadership. This is a betrayal of your oath, your duty, and the public trust.
